When I did a paint correction the other day I taped off the vinyl stripes down the side of the car. Evidently the buffer hit them in some areas and made them shine more than the dull areas that were taped off. Can the stripes themselves be buffed with a soft pad and the PC without causing damange. Have tried every chemical I have with no luck of making it blend

Okay well after reading through a few of Mike's posts I see that there is really no great way to tackle them. I havent seen it in person yet, however the owner of the vehicle said that stripes are very glossy in the center from where I taped both sides of the stripe and the PC passed over them a small bit. There is also a small bit of wax (?) residue from where the matte black stripes turned white. Would a sealant on a black or red pad with the PC on a low speed blend everything together and make it look "good" again??

Thanks in advance

Will do. Like I said, I haven't had a chance to see it since it was dark when we got finished and evidently you couldn't see it under the light. How to get the wax/tape residue off though? Tried IPA, Quick Detailer, Soap/H20, ect??
