Vinyl Stripe Residue

Good morning fellow geeks ! I am going to re-stripe my Mustang and took the old stripes off yesterday but there is residue and build up around where the stripes were. Can any of you tell me if claying that area will remove the build up and residue ?

When you say residue, do you mean adhesive residue or it is in the shape of the old stripes where dirt could've built up. For adhesive I highly recommend CarPro TarX, it removes adhesive really easily. If it is dirt build up, you can try clay or some APC.. If not, a light polish would easily take it off.

There is some tape residue, and then a nice outline of where the stripe was, most likely from previously used products.
