This is my first ever write up, and I decided to document the entire process so I could do it.

A buddy hit me up a while back about doing the exterior of his car this spring before our opening G/Z meet, and I obliged. Showed up at his house at 8am and didn't leave until 6. Was even there to unload his new wheels off the Fedex truck. :dblthumb2: Car needed some loving, especially in the clay department. Ended up polishing up very nicely and ended up getting about 90% of the swirls and scratches. Could really use a slightly more aggressive pad though, and learning to wet sand would have helped with a couple deep scratches.

Anyways. Write up.

Thanks!

Great before and after side by side shots of the G35. Your buddy must be pleased.

Great work! Love the G37s! The wheels look great on there as well! Is that the stock front bumper with a lip? Or a completely different bumper all together?

Great detail on a very nice car. Work wheels huh? (Jealous) lol

Could really use a slightly more aggressive pad though, Anyways. Write up.

You already used an orange pad. A smaller 5.5" pad would have cut some time. The new Meg's 300 system might have also cut faster. Anyway nice job.

It is a 'Top Secret' front bumper if I am not mistaken. And those wheels were temp so that he could drive his car until his works arrived.

5.5" orange pad or something else? I am still learning a bit on this so any advice/links is helpful. :buffing:

The car did attend a meet the next day, and I must say, the shine turned heads. :)

Very nice turnaround! :props: I also like your photography skills. :props:

That one sun shots has some swirls in it ... I'd say you probably got 70% correction but the BFWD did add some nice depth and gloss.

Great work and pictures,
The Infiniti G37 is a beautiful car, especially in black.

Looks good Janik!

How was the C&C meet on Saturday? Been a while since I've been able to get out there but I saw a lot of nice cars heading that way on my way to work.

The PC just doesn't have enough power to spin a pad larger than 5.5". You will get better correction with a 5.5" pad. They are so many great pads today.. flat pads, hydro tech pads, surbuff, meg's micro fiber pads and a few more.

Very nice job!
I'll be honest, I liked how the car looked all polished up with the blue tape still on it, it was a nice accent. :xyxthumbs:

Thanks! THe hood was pretty bad and had a couple swirls left in it that I just could not get out. They were deep and yea, but the rest of the car was swirl free. :dblthumb2:

Very good! Few lambos, ferraris, Aston, Bentleys, and the Nissan Z/Infiniti G club got their own entire row. :props: Pretty legit.
