Hey guys....
Quick background story here. I'm an automotive technician, and ran across a deal last week with one of our customers and his vehicle.
Its a 2003 Acura TL Type S that broke the timing belt while his kid was driving it. Long story short, I bought it for $300, fixed the problems with it, and have it for sale for $3800...but i'm looking to get around $3500-$3000.
Anyway, i rented a carpet extractor to clean the god awful mess that it was, and i found out that I really enjoyed doing it. It took about 6-8 hours, but i was in no hurry, and I wanted it to look really good....which it did.
When i sell this car, I'll have some playing around money, and was thinking about getting a hot water extractor....just because I want one. I firmly believe in buying quality, even if that means putting off the purchase in order to save for what you want. While that might not be the case all the time, when your putting up a good amount of money, why not get more than you need, so if the situiation ever comes up that you need more, you got it avaliable to you. I bought a 3800 PSI pressure washer several years ago....because you just never know when your gonna need that extra 1800 PSI.
So, with that in mind...i have been looking at the MYTEE Lite II.....the newer model with 3 stage vacuum, bigger motor and more water lift. Keep in mind that i'm not going into businessas a detailer.....mostly for just myself and my friends...maybe a few clients. I already have a steamer...the McCulloch MC1275. It's not great, but it gets the job done.
So, is this HWCE (Hot Water Carpet Extractor) worth the asking price, and will it fit my needs as a hobbiest or enthuiest...or are there other brands avaliable that might be a little more or less suited to what i'm looking for. And again...it needs to be HOT WATER !!
I know the cleaning power that hot water has.
Thanks for your replies....
