Here's the story....

First off I was exhausted yesterday from polishing a bus. Get home sit down to relax and the neighbor calls me and asks me to carry a 50' tv in her home for her. So I am now dead tired and have no strength left but to get to the bed. Then I get a call from a guy that a friend referred at 730 at night asking me to spot clean his mustang seats. I asked how many spots, what type of seats, etc .... normal questions. He says that there are 10 spots from where his dog pooped, stepped in it, and tracked it everywhere.

I am between extractors cause mine died a coupe months ago and I am waiting to maybe get a Vapor Steam system instead before spring.

First off, he was not very nice at all..... but I chalked that up to the situation pissin him off. Second, I told him that they should be extracted and not spot cleaned - too many spots and they could leave clean spots.... plus extraction would help get any smell out of the seats that may be there. I told him I would have to rent a machine to do it and because of that I couldn't hook up the price (friend referred him for a hook up price). He then says "Well me and my girlfriend aren't working right now and don't have the money and I was gonna trade the car in tommorrow" but in a rude tone. Ok..... well, Im getting irritated cause Im exhausted and getting a little tude over wanting his seats cleaned for next to nothing. But I tough through it and tell him he can bring it by my place and see about spot cleaning them for him for free. As Im telling him this I realized that my better half took my truck with everything in it to her work. So I instantly tell him this and tell him I can get to it tommorrow if he wants to bring it by...... then I get an attitude from him saying "No! I'll just do it myself!" and he hangs up!

This is frustrating! Why would someone call first off looking for something done next to nothing if anything and get an attitude through the whole thing? I was exhausted and the last thing I wanted to do was clean dog crap out of someone's seats in the middle of the night, but I gave him options (one of them being to do it for free) and he chose to be like this?!?!??!? Sometimes I don't understand people at all!

That is the exact reason I don't deal with people looking for the best price or ask for a discount. Some people you just can't please.

True - I've just never had anyone act that way before .... Im about to cut out all hookups I think (except for immediate family!)

karma will come back in spades ... rude people deserve bad things !

I would feel thankful his true colors came out on the phone. If you had cleaned his seats, for free at that, when he went to trade in the car, he would blame you for not getting enough on the trade in because you did not do a good enough job.

I truly believe in what comes around goes around :dblthumb2: ..... I waited tables for years and experienced quite a few characters! But, there are always the nice ones too I suppose, just remember the bads ones the most sadly.

That is true - Does detailing your vehicle before trading it in make a big difference price wise you think???? If so, I am goin to detail the *&^* out of my truck before trading it in - just didnt think they cared about that since they get us to do it for them anyway?!??!?!?

What a dueschbag.....they have no purpose.

LOL

Well - thanx for listening to my cries guys..... sometimes this forum can get addictive and even the bad stories get tossed on here. Blog or Forum?!?!?!?

LOL! 50 inch, but a 50 footer would be nice to have..... then again waking up to 30 foot SpongeBob would scare me and I think the kids lol!

I ALWAYS try to give good customer service - even when they are ridiculous. But for some reason this irked me pretty bad.

Gotta love the public.. I work in sales and sometimes you can not please people.

I hate that all it takes is one jack*** to screw up someones day. I can't even imagine how someone can be such an a** when they were offered free service. Hats off to you for keeping your cool.

Same kind of people who buy auto parts...ya spend the time finding the proper part number, tell 'em even how to install it, give 'em a price and then they say they're gonna get it at XYZ Auto (if it is even in stock).

You can only hope Karma works.
