Water Beading, does this looks right???

Last week I polished my Jeep Commander, here is what I did:


-Menz intensive polish
-Menz final polish
-Wolfgang glaze 3.0
-Menz power lock sealer (2 coats 24 hours apart)
-p21s 100% (@ coats 24 hours apart)
-3 days later, I was gonna go out and there was a lot of dust on the Jeep, so I used some Megs QD (The one on the black bottle)

Today I got cut on a bad storm, and for some reason it doesn't look like the water is been repealed, so, does this looks right?

If that isn't beading I don't know what is.... Small, symmetrical, round beads are as good as it gets.

Yeah man, looks good. That is textbook hydrophobic beading. Personally I wish there were more LSPs that sheet water instead of bead it.
 
Looks fine, just remember that the jeep has dirt on it and may not bead as good as if you just washed it.
 
Cool, for some reason I was thinking that the water should have run off more from the paint, specially on the door since it is vertical...

So, would more wax accomplish this???
 
Beautiful beading. :xyxthumbs: What I look for is the beads to be almost round, when the beads surface curves under before touching the paint you know you got it good. When the beads start to lay flat (what I call "lazy paint") it's time for a fresh LSP application.
 
He wants a sheeting wax. Actually i prefer a wax that sheets water away from the paint rather than have them bead. I think you need the Autoglym HD Wax, i'm looking into getting one too, but it's too expensive. My sister can't find the $35 in any walmart in CA. :)

Are there pure carnauba waxes that sheet instead of bead?
 
Most waxes and sealants are formulated to bead because it makes people feel all warm and fuzzy inside (I'm not joking).

Well I don't think that waxes were *originally* formulated to bead for that reason...I think beading was a natural result of the surface tension left by the wax.
