I detailed my dad's truck last night, looked like new. This morning is had rained and the water beaded beautifully. Later this afternoon, i look and there are water spots. Same thing with my car, rain, sun comes out and you have waterspots. How can i prevent them. I guess the main way could be to dry your car after each rain shower, I don't have a garage. Is there any other way to prevent water spots?

ThanksFeed back please

theres really no way . if it rains and right after it stops i would go out there with some q/d and a microfiber towel and wipe down the car. that will take care of the water spots . but i wouldnt wait to long after it rains do to dust in the air flying around and landing on the paint you dont want to rub that in.

Dang, when i get my own house, its gonna have a garage. :(

One more quick q, is Pinnacle Crystal Mist or some of those $20 bottles (16oz) QD's really much better than poorboys S&G, their only $9 a bottle.

Spray and Gloss is a nice offering as is their Spray and Wipe, one just has more glossing agents. A good wax or sealant will help reduce water spots, but removal is speed as sun can burn them in and etch clearcoating.

A top quality sealant will prevent those.
Topping it with wax also helps alot

I won't mention the brand of sealant I've used that stops them as you won't like it. One of those that starts with G andanother that starts with F. Same company makes them and are not polymer based.

Oh man, that sucks....It just rained hard down here and the sun is out today...And of course my office doesn't have covered parking....SIGH....waterspots again...geez...
