New to the deep detail world. New to us car. Brought it home, washed with blackfire car wash soap, clayed then polished with flex da lake county white pad and pinnacle final polish. Then two coats of klaase high gloss sealant with 12 hours between coats. Drove car for week. Maybe 40 miles that week, sits in carport and had few rains where it blew in on it. Washed next weekend with same stuff. Used spot free rinse on final rinse, blew dry with dryer and then finished drying with microfiber drying towel. Noticed a few water spots then. Next week more pollen and more rain. Washed car this Saturday night, sprayed with carpro reload to help as a drying aid dried with microfiber towel. This week some more rain on Monday and Tuesday. Washed car tonight again and it is horrible on the flat spots like the hood, roof etc. Im wanting to do the carpro uk 3.0 ceramic kit soon and don't want to end up with the same stuff. Any tips. Car sits in carport but as you know rain, dust dirt blows in on them.

:xyxthumbs: Are the water spots appearing after the wash or in between maintenance washes after the weather comes in? At any rate you could use a waterless wash to touch it up if it's after a wash or water spot removal product. If the water spots have etched into the paint then you'd likely have to polish it out in my opinion. Just a few thoughts off of the top of my head. Also be sure to wash the paint in a shaded and cool area if your not already doing so as hot paint will definitely yield water spots. I'm sure your washing out of direct sunlight and in the shade though. It seems like your pretty cautious.

Car is always washed in the garage seen in pictures. It's my dads shop. Water spots seem to show up between washes. Rain and contaminants seem to be doing it I guess? Water used is well water and there is no water softener but he does have spotless rinse Not sure brand but it has the two big tanks that water goes through. I only use that after washing and rinsing. Dont let soap etc dry either on it. I'll have to check out the water spot remover. Was bumbed out tonight when I washed it and could see the water spots during the drying process.
Just trying to figure out how to keep it from happening so I dont have to wash the car 5 times a week if it rains. Hard enough to find the time to do it 2 times. Wife and kids work etc.

And this is why so often when this topic comes up I say,

What's in the water?

Think about it?

I think the only thing that's going to help is a coating.

I think this is your best bet. If you get water spots on a respected coating brand like the CarPro UK 3.0 - we're back to,

What's in the water?

:dunno:
