I've got a new G63 in Olive Matte Green. There are a few water spots on there that I can't get off with a regular wash of quick detailer, or alcohol mix. They don't feel etched it, but I'm not sure (car has less than 1k miles on it and only a few months old). I've read that vinegar is a no no on matte paints. Any advice?

Try MDR from OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE TECHNOLOGY

I would email or call OPT to verify use on matte paint

Tried it and didn't help.
I don't think it's made specifically
for water spots though.

"Allow the product to work its
magic after spraying the area:
-Let it dwell on the area for a little bit
as opposed to wiping it up immediately.

-It’s okay to let Matte Paint Cleanser
sit for a while as long as you don’t let
it dry on the surface.

-Once the product spends a bit more
time on the affected area it should have
great success removing the problem.

Whether it’s waterspots, overspray,
dried on bird droppings, or sap, the
answer is simple---let the product
do the work for you.
-Being aggressive and scrubbing
is not the answer..."

I will try to leave it on for longer and see if it helps

I would give the McKee's 37 Matte Finish Cleaner and Protectant a shot.
McKee's 37 Matte Finish Cleaner & Protectant Free Towel!

Do you have pictures of the G63 with matte paint?

I'll see if that stuff helps, iif the Beasley's doesn't. Thanks for the recommendation.

Any pictures of a new G63 Mercedes?

Of course, this thread sucks without pix!

I recently machine polished a matte vinyl graphics without any problems but I'm not going to recommend this to anyone...

Immediately after machine polishing I wiped the surface down twice with glass cleaner.

Then applied Dr. Beasley's matte coating.

I'm going to try to dig up the pictures and share next week...
