So a couple weeks ago I polished out most of the swirls and water spots in my paint. I then applied wax to the car. Just a few days ago I washed the car off and put on another coat of wax (Collinite 845). I am currently on a business trip and it rained a lot yesterday, and with the car sitting out side the water dried and made spots.

I assume (and hope) that I don't have to polish these spots off again since there's a coat of wax between the water and the clear coat, but that when I wash the car again they will come off?

Yes, they shouldn't penetrate the wax. Also, it depends on how long the water is going to sit on the paint, but you shouldn't have an issue.

Try some detail spray or rinseless wash and you should be all set! :props:

A 50/50 mix of distilled water and white vinegar will help you out. DG makes a water spot remover that is good for fresh spots too.
