I have been thinking about buying a waterless car wash. Read alot about them . Is one brand better or are they all about the same

I tried Griot's, DP (the old formula), and Poorboy's Spray & Wipe. Didn't like Griot's, but really liked DP and Poorboy's. I'd call them equivalent, but that's just my humble opinion.

Ive tried the CG ecowash and the other white one. Both were good but the white one slightly better.

Only used DP but like it, have not used it on a real dirty car to test the encapsulation the articles talk about. I may drive by a CG store this weekend and pick up some but after trying 2 (water based and oil based) of there trim/tire and heaven forbid interior protectant I am not a big CG fan.

Optimum Opti-Clean works very well. It leaves a nice glow afterwards and some slickness. The look lasts but the slickness drops off quickly. A good product, I'm glad I bought it. My thanks to Motorcityhonda for his review which prompted me to try it.

I use the DP. I like it. I have tried Griots, and was not fond of it. I mainly use the stuff to replace quick detailers. Mainly for dust.

I like CroftgateUSA. Works great and can clean dirty cars.

Cmon you Ultima fans. Great product and 16 ozs. yields 5.5 gallons of waterless wash or QD. And it's Polycharged.

Thanks for the replies .I think i will try the new DP line I have used a few of there old line always had good results

So far I have used DP (love it), PB's S&W (very nice), Croftgate Aquinex (very nice, bought a sample kit), Prolong (free sample; excellent cleaning ability) and HD Free.

In terms of cleaning ability of moderately dirty cars: I would rate Prolong & Aquinex tops, followed by HD Free.

In terms of looks(gloss): I really like DP&PB's S&W followed by HD Free. Although this is purely subjective on my part, all products left the surfaces nice and clean with moderate gloss.

In terms of value: they can be a bit pricey in small bottles, but larger sizes provide a better value. I would say DP is tops in this category.Prolong being a close second in larger sizes and its ability to handle moderately dirty cars. HD Free worked very well, but I noticed I used a lot more product to achieve the same results.

For my money, DP is best in value and versatility. Prolong is the dark horse here because it becomes quite affordable in larger sizes and its ability to handle moderately dirty cars. (A real surprise in my book. This coming from a company that is more commonly associated in additives). PB' S&W has been around for quite awhile and is also a good value. HD Free has a pleasing scent, can be used inside and out. Croftgate is a fine product and may be more affordable in larger sizes.

Ultima Waterless Wash Plus is my favorite. Why? Read what Ron already said.
