Do you guys think you can make a waterless by diluting a concentrated soap like megs ultimate wash & wax or others? Cant see paying $15 for a ready to use waterless and it lats one wash.

Feed back please

I don't think using a soap, diluting it, then trying it as a waterless wash is the best idea. Can't imagine how'd that even work.

However I think you're talking about their waterless wash and wax. And there's many concentrated waterless products available. Like Ultima and Pinnacle.

Buy something like Ultima Waterless Wash + Concentrate. A car shampoo would be too sudsy.

I think it would leave a haze.
If it worked we'd all be using this method.
If you don't want to spend the money try using the Turtle Wax Rinse-Less Wash & Wax.
Around six bucks a bottle at Wal-Mart, I love it, works well, to a point I bought about 16 bottles total when it was BOGO free.

Good luck with that :)

No.

Soaps are surfactant based, waterless cleaners are polymer based.

Ultima Waterless Wash Concentrate comes out to be like 30 cents per bottle. It don't get any cheaper than that.

Pinnacle's on sale right now...$39 for 32 Gallons. Can't get much cheaper than that. I haven't tried it yet, but another member suggested it, and I have some on the way :)

Well said sir, i just got in on that deal (with the spray bottle included). I got turned on to this stuff about 4 weeks ago when AGO had the 16oz for $9.99. Fantastic product...love it! can't go wrong!

just don't forget to load up on MF's!!!:xyxthumbs:

I thought if it worked or was a decent idea, I would have found it in research. I am new to detailing and just thought I'd ask. I also knew you guys would know. Guess I'll order some WW concentrate like ultima or pinnacle.

Nothing wrong with thinking outside the box brother...that's what forums are all about!

+1 For Ultima. Fantastic product and very economical when mixed per the directions.

I have the Pinnacle Waterless but have not used it yet. It says to dilute it 1:32. I assume this means One ounce solution to 32 ounces of water or 4 ounces per gallon?

If you filled a 36 ounce Pinnacle spray bottle at 1:32 then should you fill it to 33 ounces? One ounce of solution to 32 ounces of water = 33 ounces total? Would this be correct?

Yep.

Each part in a 1:32 dillution in a 36 oz container would be 1.09:34.88 oz if filled to the top. The formula aplies to everything.

example: 1:5 dillution, in a 16 oz bottle.

1+5/16 = each part is 2.67 oz so 2.67:13.35

#oz bottle/total parts = x

Thanks for the info. I will try the Pinnacle Waterless Concentrate today and see how it works -- Marc

UWWP is even available on a gallon size which makes it even more cost benefit... you can't go wrong with that.
