I am thinking of starting a mobile detail business...after recommendation from VIP Mark, and reading up on it more on here. I am thinking of doing a waterless wash. Which waterless wash solution is the best bang for buck?
When cleaning an exterior that the waterless wash cannot tackle on its own, has anyone tried to just use steam to tackle the really heavily soiled areas? I am looking into purchasing a Unilux 3000, and figured I could it on wheels, wheel wells, engines, interiors, door jambs, and the heavier soiled parts of the exterior, then clean the rest with the WW. That would eliminate the chance of needing to use the customers water, or going to a self serve car wash to blow it off, and then drive back to the location.

Also, any easy up, canopies that aren't too expensive?

Ultima Waterless Wash Plus+ Concentrate is good for money

It might make a difference on what people recommend if you plan to lay in a spray wax when you dry.
I would use UWW+ if I was going to lay in a wax. I might go with something that has more shine if not - Pinnacle, Opti Clean).
All WW's are under a buck per wash. Results would be my first criteria if you want to build a business.

Bang for buck wasn't the best term to use lol. Like everything, some brands do some things better then others, but lack in other areas. So what I was wondering, the WW that does a good job lifting the dirt and grime, but giving a nice shine as well.
I took notice they have a BOGO on the Pinnacle WW. 16 oz. dilutes 32:1. But ends very soon.

The pinnacle waterless wash is similar to ultima water less wash it removes light to mild contamination while leaving the surface very slick IMO so if you want to buy the pinnacle brand then go ahead

I second UWW. My main concern would be educating the public. There are some very successful shops that just use steam and I agree it would be much easier logistics wise to go that route but in my area it seems like people are skeptics on a steam wash. One shop that offered just that closed recently. Just something to think about. Good luck in your endeavor.

I wouldn't wash the entire car with steam. Just behind the wheel wells, and probably under the trim line, only on cars that were dirtier then normal. Afterwards still follow it up with the WW

I use pinnacle waterless wash with carnauba concentrate and it works great!

I use Eco Smart WW from Chemical Guys and it works and looks good, but I think some of the others may be easier/less time consuming. I will be switching once I run out of the two gallons of concentrate I have now.

I degrease door jambs, agitate and then steam if really bad. As for cleaning the entire vehicle with steam, no thanks. That would take me too long. I use ONR in a 2 gal. bug sprayer.
