In a recent thread, a member mentioned that Detailer's Pride Waterless Wash did a much better jpb of cleaning. Having used several gallons of Poorboy's Spray & Wipe over the years, I find that very surprising, but..... I have never used the DP Waterless Wash and can't really compare them.
How about some input from those of you that have used both products?
Maybe I'm missing out on something. The DP is somewhat more expensive, (30 to 40 percent), but that has never stopped me before. :D
If you feel there is a big advantage in one or the other, making that difference known would be a help.

Since this hasn't had any replies yet, I thought I would get it back on the main page and see if that was because of the week-end or maybe no one has used both other than the one member.
As good as I think the S&W is, I'm certainly open to trying something that is considered to be better. One person's opinion isn't really enough to make me think a change is in order. Several opinions might be.

I'd like to give my input but I believe that "one person's opinion" is already mine. :D

Yes it is, but that certainly doesn't mean your input isn't wanted.
Please post some of your thoughts on the subject.
Some detail would be appreciated. Not just the DP is better than PB information that is sometimes posted.
Give some reason/reasons why you think DP is better than PB.
Prior to discovering S&W about 6 years ago, I wouldn't have even considered using a waterless wash. Now it's one of my favorite products.
That doesn't mean I wouldn't be interested in something better.

Between the S&W and the rinseless washes, I seem to only bucket wash on occasion and I think it's more for the enjoyment than for any big difference in the quality of the wash.

PB's Waterless Wash is a nice product. Gives a really nice shine to the finish, it is totally streak-free, and it gets the job done.

DP Waterless Wash gives a nice shine but has much better cleaning power. I use a whole lot less product for more effective results. Unfortunately, if I use too much of DP in one area, it becomes difficult to completely buff off. I see EVERYTHING on my Obsidian Black (non-metallic) G35 Coupe and DP may cause some streaking if you don't use a super-absorbent MF towel.

I want to make it clear that between PB's S&W and DP WW, I am not crazy about either, I just have my preference which works for me.

On another note, stay away from the EcoTouch Waterless Wash & Polish. It is incredibly streaky and hazy, no matter what I do. It sucks because the cleaning power of this product is fantastic; very little goes a long way but the haze that forms is almost impossible to buff off completely because there is no slickness to the paint once the product has dried up. Thank God I am down to my last bottle because it takes me twice as long to do each waterless wash as I have to follow up this product with a quick detailer.

Ultimately, I think that if PB's works well for you, then don't change it. Maybe give the DP Waterless Wash or some other waterless wash product a try if you have some extra Holiday cash lying around.

I'm interested to see if anybody else on the forum has a preference for a waterless wash product as I still have not found a true favorite for myself.

I have found that the DP Waterless wash doesn't have the same lubricity as S&W. When using the DP, my MF towels seem to grab to the paint more than when S&W is used on the same vehicle. I feel much safer using a product that'll have the MF towels glide across the paint with minimal pressure to reduce the chances of marring. On a clean surface the DP is a great clay lube though.

What about Dri Wash n Guard Waterless car products? I know alot of people don't care for it. What's the verdict from pass users?

I have tried 3 different types of those products and didn't particularly care for any of them.

My question here is primarily to get information about the DP compared to Poorboy's.

Hey Charles, I received my ONR in the mail today. I mixed 28oz of water with 4oz of Optimum No Rinse and it made a very nice waterless wash! Awesome cleaning power, very streak-free, and left the paint very slick and shiny!

This is premature considering my very limited experience with ONR but I think I may have found my new all-purpose waterless wash, clay lube, and quick detailer!!!

While I think ONR is a great rinseless wash, I wasn't too impressed with it as a quick detail mix.
I used the recommended ratio of 6 oz. per gallon for a QD which is a lot less than the amount you used. Your mix is about 3 times as strong as recommended for a QD.
I'm surprised that it worked that good for you since it seems like it would be way too strong of a mixture.
Hey, if it works for you that's all that matters.
I think I will stick to the Poorboy's Spray & Wipe for a waterless wash and continue to use the ONR and 4 in 1 as rinseless washes. Since the ONR seems to.do the same job for less money, I probably won't reorder the 4 in 1 when I finish what is left of my gallon.

I see that DP 4n1 is now BOGO so $15.99 for 64 oz.

You do know that you can buy more than one of the BOGO deals, don't you?
Buy 2 and get a gallon for $31.98 + shipping.

I dunno if you guys got the VIP e-mail thing today but 1 gallon of DP 4-in-1 is now only $25.00 + shipping.

The deal on the 4-in-1 would almost make it worth joining.

I don't think you even need to join the newsletter, I believe you just need to know the super secret members only link.

I have been using the PB S&W on my Harley for over a year in between regular washes and love the way it works. But if I am understanding this correctly I could be buying and mixing the ONR or 4in1 at 6 oz or so per gallon and using it for a waterless wash as well. Not as a no rinse but as a waterless wash correct? If that is the case it is much more cost effective to do that.

Thanks For any Input

That mix is supposed to give you a quick detailer, but I don't think I would consider it a "waterless wash".
Everyone has their own opinions on things, but I consider S&W to be much more than a QD. If your cleanup is something you would entrust to a QD, chances are either of the 2 products would do fine. I only use them as a rinseless wash, so I don't know how they work as a QD.

I can say that I really am using this as a QD more than a waterless wash since the bike never really gets that dirty. I have always liked the PB S&W over a QD and that is why I use it but if this will work in the same way then I am willing to give it a try.

It would be worth a try. You might want to do a small area to see how it works before you get too carried away. :D
FWIW, The one time I tried the ONR at QD strength, I wasn't overly impressed. As I remember, it worked fine, but didn't seem to cling to the paint after spraying. It started to run down the vertical surface much quicker than my other QDs or S&W does. It might work fine for you.
