Have been curious about this for some time... but don't have any test panels or equipment to test it out.

Waxes that are designed for light or plush colors, and those that are designed for darker tones. I've heard of people mentioning using the wrong wax type of a certain color can dull it or change the color slightly until the next coat of wax. I know it's nothing permenant, but I am curious... any verifications of this?

I have a cherry red car, so I never use any waxes designed for darker colored cars because I like to be the brightest red on the road :xyxthumbs: but on a more serious note, anyone have any befores or afters? Can it really impact a 'very noticeable' color change?

This would be a great write up if you have some spare time Mike. *PM's Mike $100.

I think it has more to do with the ingredients and polymers that some suggest look more pleasing on certain colors, not the actual color of the wax. Souveran Paste looks great on solid reds.

Kind of thought it might be based more on a chemical/ingredient make up as opposed color. I have just seen a few posts stating it was just a general rule of thumb. Maybe when I get a good DA and can experiment I'll get a few panels from the junk yard and show some results in the near future.

Currently in the process of getting either a house or an apartment. Already working 70 hours a week minimum. Not a lot of spare time or money to spend right now

Dodo Juice offers some color charged waxes, maybe PJ will chime in on if its more about the ingredients versus simply color of wax.

For a cheap effective wax look to Poorboys Natty Blue or Red

It is a bit hard to see, but the Souveran made the red much darker. I'll try to see if I have some more pictures of it around

I wouldn't put too much emphasis on waxes that are designed for certain colors. I think Dodo is the main company that does this to an extent, and even they say not to expect big differences.

Well, I use M26 on my yellow car, M16 on my blue car, and Zaino Z-2 on my pink car, if that helps.

^lol
I have read were some one complained about yellow wax leaving a yellow tint to their silver paint. This was with Pinnacle Paste Glaz.
