Does anyone have any experience adding a carnuba wax over Carpro Reload? I was thinking it may add some winter months durability. However not sure of any downsides to it...

How long has Reload been on the car? Dark color or light color? IMO the product may not adhere or bond to reload. I've not topped reload when new. Perhaps after a couple washes/weeks it would bond better. I have found on black that topping even regular sealants with a Carnauba would lead to smears and streaks in part to poor bonding.

What's the goal of topping off Reload?

Reload was just applied today. Audi Daytona Grey Pearl Effect. Goal was to add one more layer in winter months. Snow, salt, gravel etc etc.

Thank you for your reply.

I would suggest layering reload as it is a sealant, compatible with itself, and is much more durable than any wax.

Just spray with Reload as needed. I'm not sure Reload even layers. Theoretically it might layer, but in practice I doubt that you would get extra protection. Although you would not hurt a thing by trying. A layer of Hydro2 followed by Reload might be more practical.

I would use ECH20 at 1:20, mix in 1-3oz of Reload and just use it after each wash. You should be fine with that even.

Thanks to all. pdqgp I like the idea of a spritz with ECH20 and reload apres wash. I have turtle wax rinseless version still. PS my last car was brilliant black, man she was a lot of work. How are you fairing with yours?

She's coated so we're go :)

No need to top Reload with anything honestly. It`ll stand up to winter and salt with no problem. If anything, use a bit as you dry after 3 months if it makes you feel better.

I agree. I mix 2oz ECH2O + 2oz Reload + 20oz distilled water. Great QD or drying aid. I wouldn't put a wax on top of Reload.
