Wax remover?

So I been doing pressure wash / foam, two bucket method, then tar / bug spray but not claybar and put temp spray on wax until I can claybar, iron x and possibly polish . Is there way to remove the wax I put on? I know claybar will remove this but for future I like to re wax every 2 to 3 months so was told I should remove old wax and put on new. I know some wax or other sealant is hard to remove so I’m pretty sure some wax removal spray won’t take it out instantly.

So what should I do if I plan on rewaxing every 2 to 3 months . I wanna get hang of waxing before going ceramic coating

Are you talking a carnauba wax or a sealant or a combo?
Wax, as in carnauba or Montan, are quite easily removed. Sealants can be a different story.

Well right now I think I stripped the wax from lot of car washes (even with safe car wash soap) and time after getting it from dealer. So I sprayed on meguiars quick spray wax. I want to remove this so next week I can do clay and iron x as well. Then put Carnauba wax (but I got the meguiar white wax as it supoosedyl helps white cars shine)

So what do I do remove the meguiars quick spray wax. Then afterwards I use the meguiars white wax for white cars? (Not sure if this one is Carnauba or not have to see)

but I’ve also used it to remove many other
paint contaminates.

Stuff like grease, adhesive residue, dirt,
tree sap, road tar, oil, and bugs don’t stand
a chance.

Yep...it’s a must have staple in
your detailing arsenal, IMO.

White Wax is an abrasive cleaner wax and it will remove the spray wax that is on it. White Wax is a a carnauba wax with synthetic polymers. You can use white wax a few months later as it will clean, polish and protect in one step. The claying and chemical decon will remove a majority if the spray wax.

If you buy it make sure you buy a clothespin so you don’t also smell it, as it smells pretty rancid.

That is correct. That is true for most all in one type products. As far as claying, you have to make the judgement call on that one. It is going to vary for each person based on the surrounding environment the vehicle is exposed to.

There are several old threads on what will and won’t remove wax. I believe we finally came to the conclusion that the best method was a light polish to totally remove a fresh wax. I don’t think any car wash will remove fresh wax. This horse has been beat to death.

The Clear Coat in a BC/CC paint
system is a car paint.

Agreed 100%.

This is something I also would not be without.

My can is several years old, but it states "Clear Coat Safe" right on the can.

Like Bob said, if it's sticky...... This product will remove it, usually with one or two swipes.

The only completly sure way to strip wax is a polish.

The pretty sure way to strip a wax is via acid, followed by Alkaline, finished off by solvent..

Most wax removers you buy are typically solvents..
If using only one of the 3 mentioned means it's most likely still there ..I'd say a 33% chance of being stripped

some waxes/sealants are resistant to Alkaline and solvents, but a panel wipe or 3 and acid removes it

Some arnt affected by acid and will strip from solvents
Etc etc

I'm not allowed to mention the products I use as they not sold here..
But I'm sure AGO sells an acid based waterspot remover
An alkaline based APC and a coating panel prep

The only completly sure way to
strip wax is a polish.

Usually I would agree; but in
this particular instance...

•IMO:
-The OP shouldn’t need to polish in order
to remove a week old application of
Meguiar’s Quik Spray Wax. A panel-wipe,
using the 3M Adhesive Remover, should
more than suffice.

-The OP can polish next week—after the
Claying/IronX steps have been completed,
if so desired.

I think i will try avoid items from walmart for car related in detailing. Seems some were expired when i got few there

That is correct. That is true for most all in one type products. As far as claying, you have to make the judgement call on that one. It is going to vary for each person based on the surrounding environment the vehicle is exposed to.

I always thought like all in one type products seems too good to be true and especially that it's low price. Meguiars white wax got great reviews which is why i'm trusting consumers over my bad history of produts of all in one..lol

That link looks great and will read it shortly. Have you tried this product yourself?

I don't think I need to clay as much if I'm putting wax sealant every months but good to feel test it once in awhile.

I searched youtube regarding this and came across someone who found a Meguiar's G25024 Car Wash Plus, 24 oz. that has polishing agent in so it seems it washes while light polish to remove the wax. Glad to know something exist. I guess wax adheres best to clean fresh car as opposed to one sitting on top of another.

What do you mean by BC/CC paint? I know thisn't doesn't have any abrasive in it so do you just basically do polishing motion then let it sit and then rinse? I'm guessing it will act as lubricant so won't create swirl marks etc.
