Hey guys I am looking to buy an applicator to apply wax to my vehicle. A while back I purchased a chem guys applicator pad and it is terrible. It's too big and the microfiber wrapped around the foam is almost paper thin. Any suggestions on a good applicator?

I assume your applying the product by hand?

I haven't applied any LSP's by hand in a long time, but I liked to use foam pads like these.

Meguiars Foam Applicator Pads 4 Pack

I think several other vendors here like Hydrotec, Lake Country, and maybe even Griots offer a similar type pad, so there are a variety to choose from.

When I can't make it to autogeek,HDepot is my back up.In the painting supplies isle they sell a package of 4 staining pads they work great for sealing and waxing.

Are those the ones that look like a SurBuff pad? With the little hairs?

Ever so often I'll have AGO throw in one,
or more, of their 24pck. of Pinnacle foam
applicators to my order.

Any of the above-mentioned are good. I always wax by hand. Even if you use a machine, you'll still have hand-apply to small areas, between emblems, etc.

For that very reason, I just stick with the hand application. I find the LC round foam applicators great, and I did have a set of Meg's ones that I thought were great.

I use the UFO style, I think I would like the ones with handles but I'm not paying $25 for a handle lol (I'll pay $5). So I stick with UFO style. They work well.

I'll order 6 of these every other order or so. I use them for pretty much everything and throw away or use them for tire dressing when done\ depending on the product used in the first place. I like them because the profile is low enough to where I can be be a little more accurate with them.
