Ok, so on the last couple black cars I have done, after waxing I have noticed its leaving some kind of residue or something behind and streaking. It almost looks like swirls or hologramming. I know for a fact it is not either though as I can sort of move it around with a microfiber but the microfiber wont pick it up! What am I to do?!?

Just to make things clear, I know it is the wax because..

1.I have inspected the paint over and over and over in the sun with perfect results, and after several hours in direct sunlight, still no defects.
2. I tried applying the wax by hand to remove the possibility of the applicator doing the deed, let it set for a minute, then wipe off as normal with a nice Cobra MF. I am using Lusso Oro BTW, and it is getting to the bottom of the tub if that matters..
3. If I move the towel back and forth the streaking, holograms move to which ever way I run the MF across the panel, either up-down or left-right.
4. Its really making me upset, bc I cant seem to remove it very easily even after washing and it makes the vehicle look like it has holograms but I know for a fact it doesnt.

PLEASE HELP!

Same thing happened to me on a car I did i the summer. I thought maybe I put too much on, or the paint heated up when I had it outside to wash it. It didn't show up till the next day. When I originally removed the sealant everything looked fine.

My neighbor and I had similar experiences after applying Collinite with a PC/red pad. Looked great right after it was removed. The hazing showed up more the next day.
Here's my opinion after a lot of research. A carnauba will sweat from out-gassing. Washing did not remove the residue. A few QD wipes after washings finally got it all. I think that we caused some of the problem ourselves by applying it too thick.

I find that this streaking problem is not limited to carnauba waxes but shows up mainly on black vehicles. It seems to be from an uneven coat or from digging in too deep when applying the wax or sealant. Either way, it usually goes away from my car after the first wash so it's nothing I worry about too much.

streaking is much more noticable on a highly reflective and black surface that is true. Using to much product is sometimes the issue, and other times its the failure to replace towels. I find most cars need around 4 towels for buffing. Usually a quick cool and damp MF towel with just water will remove any minor streaking in a pinch also.

Thanks for the help guys! Yeah this truck was SUPER shiny! I couldnt believe the correction I got on it, literally like 99%! I wasnt able to get the streaking fully off, but it was presentable..I figure it will just evaporate or come off with the next wash..customer was overly satisfied with the turn around!

Next time I will make a note to really go over it with a top inspection or IPA wipedown as I think that may have been part of the problem. I was using Menzerna TI but it was almost empty, so maybe it didnt work too well..

I've had this issue a few time with my Dodo SN. First time I've ever seen it before.

You know, i had that same problem on a black miata i did for one of my friends dad( except i hadn't waxed it yet). Everything looked fine until i sprayed some TI on it and all the sudden my work turned into a mess. It literally looked like i was putting swirls and holo's right back into the paint( and that was with a clean Cobra towel too). I'm no expert and i know you know much more about it than I do, but the only thing that i thought could have caused it was the hood's temperature (which was fairly warm at the time). I actually ended up having to run back over it to get the marks back out

I know that doesnt really answer your question, but i figured id throw mine in too lol

I actually got an email from Dodo that mentioned the issue...at least with the SN.

What i have noticed however is that two coats (in my opinion) gives the best protection and looks for the time spent. However what I find gives the best results is applying the first layer and waiting about 20-30 minutes before wiping off with a super soft microfiber towel (dodo juice has a new one coming out that should be arriving soon). After the first layer is removed i would apply the second and let this cure for an hour. This diminishes a pooling effect of oils which can sometimes look like holograms.
