Im currently about to wet sand and buff a car, i plan on using m105 and then m205 and then mezenra's po85rd polish! Ive learned from many here that the next step would be a wax or a sealent! I want to try a wax but im on a budget so does anybody know any good wax while being on a budget???

If u have a budget or not, 845 is always a great choice (and it's $15). I'm sure others will give their opinions here also!

If your local walmart has any autoglym hd (high definition) left, it would be your best bet. It's $20 right now and is really good. It sold on other sites for around $60. Walmart will not be carrying it anymore so I would go tomorrow and see if they have any left.

I would get Collinite 845, its not really expensive and you might even find it at local store.

Thanks everybody! Ill be looking out for that 845! If i had the cash id sure get that pinnacle souveran paste wax! Awsome wax right there! Thanks again everybody!

Poorboys Nattys Red or Blue is also a good choice. Around $20.00. Collinite 845 would be a better choice for the winter because it is more durable.

Can't wait for my #845 to be deliverd, it should be here on Tuesday 18th!!! Thanks to everyone who recommended it in another thread!! :props:

When you first open your 845 bottle, you will see a plug of solidified wax. Push it down into the bottle and then begin to shake ... and shake ... and shake the bottle. Eventually the contents will turn into a creamy texture. Then you'll be ready to wax.

:iagree: Collinite 845 is a great wax for the price. Gives you a great shine and great durability! I use it for all my winter preps.

If you are adding the wax to an order from Auto Geek then the Collinite 845 is a great choice. Do a search for Collinite 845 and you will find a lot of information and tips on how to apply the wax.

If you are looking for a wax you can purchase locally, the Autoglym HD wax at Walmart is definitely worth a look for $20.

You are awesome!!! Thanks for the tip! I just got back from our local Walmart. They only had 2 left, and the second package was torn up. I got the good one. SCORE!!! Now I can't wait to try it!!

No problem man, AG HD is really under estimated due to it being sold at Walmart. I think its awesome, it's very durable for show wax.

I was in SC for New Years and I bight some at that walmart after cleaning mine out. The walmart in SC had 2 boxes too, one torn up and the other not, I bought the good one too lol!

Some great advise!

One of the things I noticed about Collinite 845 is it's probably one of the more temperature sensitive waxes I've ever used. This in itself may sound serious but it's not.

If you find that the wax is cold or unmanageable, place it in a pan of hot water right from the tap. Leave it in there for a few minutes then remove and shake. You should immediately see the product soften and become more user friendly.

Another thing you'll immediately notice is the absence of an applicator or flip spout cap. Fortunately enough the thread they use is a standard thread for most caps of this type and can be swapped in seconds making it allot easier to apply to your pad.

Something else,

If at all possible apply this wax using a dual action polisher and a red pad. This is a big plus when applying Collinite 845 as it must be applied super thin to be removed easily.

For a while now I've been applying all of my sealants and waxes with my Porter Cable 7424 polisher and this includes Collinite 845.

Applying sealants and waxes with a polisher allows the product to be put on more evenly and allows it to be worked into the paint much better in my opinion. Using this method also avoids unnecessarily applying too much product therefore saving you some cold hard cash! :props:

I don't think you can apply a sealant or wax as thin using a pad and applying it by hand.

THIN is IN!

I agree with the above. Warm it in hot water. It should become almost water-like consistency. Replace cap with flip top since it makes it easier to place just a few drops on the pad.

If there ever was a "no-brainer" thread posted here as obvious as this one, I have yet to see it...like the others are saying...COLLINITE 845 (or even 915 which is under $30).

I've seen Collinite waxes sold in Advance Auto Parts stores for those who like to support their local economies.

I didn't know that, I'll have to stop by and check them out......:props:
