I've used the WG Twins and have put on one coat of WDGPS and am thinking of adding another coat. The final step will be Collinite 845. I did a search to determine if there seems to be a preferance toward a certain number of coats. How many coats seems to be optimal?

1 coat is perfect, two for absolute best coverage

if you are applying a coat of 845 after, 1 coat of DGPS will be enough.

Thanks Killr, Rider and DaHen,

I'm going with 2 coats and will try 1 coat as a test. I appreciate the responses. :dblthumb2:

What car and color did you use the twins on, and what did you use?

2010 Honda Accord, light green. I have applied both (still in process) with PC and Orange and Crimson pads from Lake. Orange on the TSR and Finishing Glaze, Crimson for the DGPS and I'll use Crimson for the Collinite.

I did two coats of WDGPS on my truck, but I did not apply anything over it. That was the main reason for my two coats, and also to ensure complete coverage.

Did you experience any dusting with the orange and TSR?

I guess I'm in the minority where I only apply 1 layer and don't top it with anything. Haven't had any problems with 1 layer.
