If I'm going to be detailing as a business, I'm going to need music. I can either get in-ear headphones, or ones that go over my ears, and I cant decide which would be best.

The over ears could get hit by water and might look unprofessional and they could possibly get in the way.

The in ears could be uncomfortable and wont sound as nice as the over ears.

Anyone have personal experience detailing with either?

I normally use my Ipod with the In Ear Earbuds... they come with... i leave the ipod in my shorts pockets and tuck the headphones cord in the back of my shirt

in ear while polishing bc its good to not hear that high pitch noise that can be bad for you ears!

if im' not listening to music while using my pcxp i wear protective headphones

Get some Klipsch image S4. end of story.

But yet blaring music in your ears isn't :D

Yeah, if you can listen to an ipod while using a PC, the music has to be pretty loud....even with the in-ear buds.

I've stopped using my ipod at the gym because of this for the most part. Seems like regular volume at the gym, but when I try to play them at home at the same volume, it's so loud.

Once again, get some Klipsch image S4. At halfway i cant hear anything of whats going on outside. As soon as i buy ipods, i throw away the garbage headphones they come with.

+1. I run with these and they are incredible. I removed the original ear buds for Comply Foam ear buds. They're much more comfortable and cancel out all noise. The downside is you can't hear anything and if someone is trying to get your attention, they can't unless they touch you, and this has scared the living sh** out of me a couple of times.

lolol honestly when i'm polishing i can't hear it. i keep it just loud enough as if i only had my ear plugs in to avoid the pcxp noise. i messed up my left ear drum when i was younger with my "killer" system in my car. so now i'm careful:)

I know exactly what you mean. Ive had people screaming near me and i cant hear em. Best headphones for the price out there IMO.

have you guys looked at shure earbuds for around $100. they would def give the Klipsch earbuds a run for money value

I don't like the rubber buds they come with, They slip out of my ear when I run. The COmply foam buds you squish between your fingers then they conform to your ear canal.

Do these have the same noise blocking as some shure e2c? Ran those before and wasn't a huge fan.

And I care about my hearing, but for the gym, I find that I break headphones all the time, so wouldn't want to use anything too pricey in that setting.

Klipsch sells some headphones especifically for athletes. I saw them submerge them in water and they were still working. You can jump, run, sweat all you want and those things will keep going strong. Check those out!

The klipsch are $79. Not $100. So like i said, for $79. I believe no headphones come close at that price range.

Never thought it made since to spend alot of money on headphones. I picked up about 4 pairs of in ear headphones made by SkullCandy so when they broke (because they will) I can just toss them and grab a new pair.
