I blame all of you for this. :-)

Doing normal household stuff, I keep seeing swirl marks that need to be corrected, or trim (trim-like material, anyway) that needs to be dressed .... on things that certainly are not cars, motorcycles, RVs, boats, etc. A couple of examples:

Walk by the washer/dryer and see that the finish is swirled ... and start wondering which polish I should use to fix it. Now that's just sick.

Working near the outdoor part of the heat pump/air conditioner. There's a conduit type tube around the electrical wiring, looks a lot like the corrugated plastic tubes around wiring runs in the engine bay. First reflex thought when I saw how dingy it looked was, no kidding, ..... "PERL". (Yes. I know I'd need to clean it first.)

Houston, we have a problem.

Welcome to the addiction!!! These aren't going to be your first. More to come. Lol

Haha I know what you mean.. I was on the toilet earlier and noticed the sink counter had tons of swirls.:D

^^^
When are you going to correct this..and what products to be used?

J/K ~ Been there, done that. :nomore:

ROFL. I do this all the time. IF IT HAS PAINT IT GETS POLISHED!!!

I'm starting my kids young too. The other day I had my swirl finder light inside to charge and my 1.5 year old son grabbed it and was holding it at an angle aiming it at his little monster truck toy. It looked EXACTLY like he was inspecting the paint for defects. I just smiled and thought "'at a boy."

I thought I was the only one. When in traffic, I look at the vehicles next to me to "size it" to see what products, foam pads I'll need to correct their paint.

I do that all the time when I'm out.. I'm size'n up the people and there cars around here. Every car I see needs corrected. People here are clueless on how to clean a car. I think I have a good chance to be a successful detailer as long as I approach the market right. I have to sale myself real good here to get the money I want to get paid or should i say the lowest which will below most of you guys. I'm try to get $145 for my wash and wax and correction. I think getting the customers is going harder then doing the work.

Thanks for confirming that I'm not the only one. heh.

Nicholas, you must be very proud. Way to start him off right. Bet you wish you had a camera at that moment.

Ever since "Star Trek: The Next Generation" was unduly cancelled:

I've often wondered what "Detailing Processes" would have been necessary/undertaken
to 'correct' the onset of: 'Primary Cutis Vertices Serata Syndrome'...that, unfortunately,
Jean Luc Picard (portrayed by Patrick Stewart) would be faced with, and...
...without a doubt, caused by, any further: "Outer-Space Trekking"...on his part. :dunno:

:bolt:

You know it's bad when you have actually given serious thought to correcting the paint on your lawnmower...

I was tempted...then thought...what if I burned through it. Granite in the kitchen, they finish that stuff with a belt sander so I don't think there is anything that would touch it. lol
