Yeah, I was trying to be a smart a$$ and make me an avatar that changes randomly for use on the forums

Got the code working great, changes the given picture yah de yah, no worries

So, I go into the control panel and say "use my url"

www.bigfloppydonkeyballs.com/myavatar.cfm/1.jpg

see... hit the refresh button and the image dynamically changes before your eyes

and it comes back with some useless error message saying like ,,, invalid url

WTF! OK, so AG doesn't want me to use "code" as part of my url..... I can understand that SO... I decide to be smart and write a redirector for IIS6 so that a random extension would yeild the same results and I end up with...

www.bigfloppydonkeyballs.com/myavatar.abj/1.jpg

woohoo! works,

SO, I go back into the control panel and try setting up that URL as my avatar
IT DIDN'T WORK

I'm not done yet, have a few ideas that might just get it working the way I want it to...

Bottom line is.... Anyone on here could basically use the same code to show off some of the details you've done (when used as part of the signature)

Why won;t it work as an avatar... I dunno

dude, that domain and your main page is ridiculous!

Have you tried an animated .gif file??

BTW- I have no comment about the domain ...

Ah ha... animated gif file, nice idea budman3!

Maybe take it a stage further and do a flash interface that talks to my server to go grab avatar images and display them randomly!

You will notice though that my "signature" image changes randomly which was the basis of the original idea

My homepage doesn't do anything apart from play that flash file cause there's no way I could even think about setting up my domain as an e-commerce site (no idea what I would sell given the domain name) BUT I'm glad it brought a smile or 3! and for anyone wanting a quick peek at my homepage... splash

The upload avatar url is asking to upload an image not a script of various images. You can place this url in your signature and it will work.
