hey guys I got my car bad from the bodyshop and ive tried to use the most aggressive lake country pad with fg400 to try and fix the notorious orange peel they left behind...

you guys are the pros in judging how bad this is, will the carpro denim be good enough to remove this im a hobbits and have a dual action 15mm polisher. do I need to purchase the denim pad or the velvet pad will be enough? or entirely go with a traditional sanding block?

I never had any luck with the car pro Denim pad and a random orbital, but I have great results with 3600 grit wet sand paper, a rotary, the purple hybrid wool pad and a mid-level polishing product like Menzerna 400… Works perfect every time.

Then again if a body shop just did this to my car , my first action would be to take it back to them and ask them to correct it.

Why would you rectify their bad work.

Take it back and ask them to do a proper job ..!

Being a hobbit couldn’t you get Frodo to let you use the One Ring to make the orange peep invisible?

Just kidding. Subscribed as i have 15 year old paint that didn’t have orange peel removed so thinking about this same process.

Depends on if he paid them to wet sand it. Alot of shops will offer just the spray to people looking for inexpensive re respray.

If you did pay alot or if wet sanding was included in price…. Yes take it back

sorry for the spelling I’m a hobbyist. They’ve told me it’s normal and even oem paint has orange peel. Anyhow will the carpro denim pads reduce the orange peel or possibly eliminate it ? Or wet sanding with 3k is better ?

Wet sand it with 2000 grit.

Get some 3D ACA 500 with microfiber pads to clean it up.

Final polish with whatever you want

Should I wet sand by hand or with a machine?
is 3k grit needed after 2k?
