I’ve got two late model vehicles that are daily drivers. A beige 2008 GMC Acadia, my wife’s car, a grey 2008 Toyota Avalon. I have tried many different products, some of them quite expensive. I’ve wanted to ask, what are must have products for keeping the cars in the drive way looking new for as long as possible?
What are the best bang for the buck, “go to” products for the amateur detailer?

Hard to beat Duragloss products.:buffing:

:iagree: DG has many top notch products that can hold its own against the top products out there. Many say Duragloss products are also extremely similar to Zaino's products both in performance and looks for about half the price.

Some of my favorites are:
#951 (spray sealant), #521 (detail spray), DG 111 (sealant), DG 601/105(bonding agent/sealant), DG 253 (Tire dressing), DG 501(AIO), DG 902 (shampoo), DG 755 (glass polish)

Wash -- Poorboys or Optimum
Polishes -- Menzerna SIP and Nano or Megs 105/205
Paint Cleansers --- Pinnacle Paintwork or P21S GEPC
AIO's -- Pinnacle XMT360
Detail Sprays --- FinishKare 425
Quick Detailer -- Mothers Showtime
APC --- Amazing Rolloff, Optimum Powerclean, P21S Total Wash
Wax -- Pinnacle SSII, Pinnacle Liquid Souveran, P21S, or Poorboys Natty
Trim --- Poorboys Trim Restorer
Tires --- Optimum Optibond , 303 Protectant

Just a couple must-have items

The products mentioned above, also Meguiar's Detailer Line of products. In fact, most Meguiar's products are a good bang for the buck and will give you great results. :xyxthumbs:

The over the counter Meguiar's work great also and are priced right. It depends on what you are trying to achive .

i would think the klasse twins would be up there. price isn't too steep and for up to a year of protection it can't be beat. i did the math once on price per wash and ch guys citrus was about .28 per wash if you buy the gallon and it cleans great with lots o foam. optimun's qd can't be beat with the dilution factor of 3-1. i highly recommend menzerna's powerlock simply for the looks, not sure about durability yet.:dblthumb2:

Menzerna polishes are excellent and have had excellent results with Duragloss, hard to beat it for the price, workability and performance...

Another vote for Duragloss. Especially if you buy it by the gallon.

Duragloss & Optimum are hard to beat. OID and OCW are exceptional values. OCW is on sale at Detailed Image for 29.95 and AG price matches. Opti Bond, OPP and Optimum XCar Wash are all my favorites and are great deals by the gallon. Order more than $95 and use code AGO and shipping is free!

I got some of the new DP Poli-Coat paint sealant at Detailfest and I used it the other day. I must say that this stuff goes on and off like a charm. It smells good too. I paid $14.95, you just can't beat that! I will post an update on durability an a month or so.

Me too....I put some on yesterday.

For a daily driver, the Collinite 915 is pretty hard to beat because of it's great durability.

If you prefer a liquid 845 can't be beat for durability and looks

Agreed.

Also ONR,use it as clay lube, glass cleaner, detail spray, water softener,or wash cars if that's your thing.

Really the best bang for the buck products will be anything on the BOGO page...honestly :D

I would say a lot of the poor boy's products fall into this category... I Use Trim restorer, Bug squash, natural look dressing, Of course the natty's waxes... I am playing with the SSR lines but think I would rather work with 105/205 and maybe use SSR1 as a finisher.

2nded on the Poorboys stuff. Haven't tried any of the compounds/polishes or sealants though.

Megs Mirror Glaze and Detailer Line are both great. Also use a ton of Chemical Guys products.

On a side note, did AG carry Chemical Guys at one point, or am I getting mixed up?
