What are your go to products for Drying aides

I was actually considering this, but the bottle expressly says slick and Slide was not designed as a drying aide and to use H20 guard and gloss instead. How has your experience been using it as a drying aid?

No problems yet. Nextel feel.

It is known to be same exact product as Obsessed garages drying aid. Matt’s product just has no dyes or purfume…

Was about to post the same thing. Originally, the label and website said don't use as a drying aid, but I guess with competitors selling the same product as a drying aid forced their hand. I've used Slick & Slide, as well as the OG and Ethos versions as a drying aid for years without a problem.

What’s the Ethos version called?

My go to is TEC 582. Does a great job, is simple to use and is very economical. Currently on Amazon it $40.99 per gallon. I dilute it 1:1 with distilled water. Including the cost of the water it breaks down to 17 cents per ounce. I use it liberally and usually use about 8 ounces of the 1:1 on my pickup truck so one would use less for a smaller vehicle. But that amounts to $1.37 per application which I usually use either after every wash or every other wash.

I don't know if this was something someone on here said a few years back or just where I got this idea; however, I seem to remember it being mentioned that 3D Bead it Up and TEC 582 were similar and possibly even the same product

ADSCO, the distributor of TEC 582, simply says they are "a national warehouse distribution center of products used in the auto and truck sales and service sector", and don't claim to be a formulator or bottler, so I guess it is possible that 3D produces it

Thoughts?

I have both Bead It Up and TEC 582 and they are definitely not the same product. Bead it Up can be difficult to remove and streaks at times.

Good to put that to rest

Thanks

For those using Slick and Slide, how slick is it? To me it doesnt seem all that slick. But it also seems like this formulation is inconsistent based on feedback from people. Like one person has version 1 and its no where near as slick as brand 2s version they bought later. Seems to be a common theme.

I use the OG version and it's slick the slickest drying aid i have tried,
Meguiars Hyper synthetic spray wax would be a close second,

I have 4 gallons of the stuff i bought it on special $30 for a gallon or 3.8 litres.

Thanks all, ive basically decided to use ADS amplify on my GTI and Slick and Slide on my GLI (for now) once the Slick and slide runs out, might get a gallon of amplify.
