What creates "cloudy" looking paint?

Since the arrival of many of the Si02 spray products, I've been using them as maintenance toppers after washing. Some are even quick detailers like Griot's Ceramic Speed Shine. I recently did a full decontamination/detail.

I washed car using TW Max-Power to help remove any existent wax/sealants.

Polished by hand using P21s Paintwork Cleanser (love this stuff)
Applied an Si02 spray.

The paint looks considerably more clear from polishing it and I want to keep it that way.

Will overusing products, such as using too much after each wash create that hazy/cloudy look to the paint? I have Ceramic Speed Shine I was going to use as a drying aid, but if it leads to buildup on surface, I may go longer in between and just wash the car.
 
I doubt that you can use any of the LSP products and cloud the paint. Cloudy paint comes from many different sources, down here in Florida the main culprit is clearcoat degradation, moving toward failure. There are other situations where people have used amounts of alcohol or other corrosive cleaners that will cloud the paint if they let it dwell.
 
Thanks glen. It could just be the polish made it pop more so maybe "cloudy" wasn't the right word.

I think speed shine will be fine as a drying aid just don’t over do it. It’s protection is pretty weak and your diluting it with the water on your car as a drying aid. 1-2 sprays per panel.

I have customers that over use Reload that results in a haze.
