What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Got inline at the touch-free wash after work, about a 45 minute wait, too cool in the morning

Yeah, applies nice and easy, flashes away quickly. I've applied it on top of their Ceramic Spray Sealant and Colinite 845, and it worked well with both.
I think your a convert Dave, glad your enjoying ADS

Thank you, brother.

And yea it’s solid as ever. The only thing is you do go through it alot faster than something like Hyper Wash, as expected.

I use 200ml. in the foam cannon and then just a small glug into the wash bucket, and an even smaller glug into the wheel bucket. At $11 you totally get the consumer feel as far as usage, but it doesn’t feel like bad value or anything, you just feel like an Average Joe but I kinda like it for now. Lol.

As far as results & user experience, I can honestly say I like it better than Hyper Wash. I think it’s better foam, scent, cleaning power, everything except dilution ratio.

I think it’s better than Megs NXT Car Wash as well, which I’d rate 4th. [as far as Megs soaps] after Hyper Wash. It’s been a while since I’ve used Megs Shampoo Plus but I think I like that one over Hyper Wash as well as its similar to the Gold Class.

I currently have Hyperwash, I love that scent, nice and slick etc. I’d rate it ahead of shampoo plus, but no scientific reason for it. NXT was good, I like that also. But I’ll for gold glass a shot. I’m more along the line as an average joe these days. Less available time and wanting to drive instead of detail has pushed me into that category.

Got to do an OUTDOOR RW after work today, partly sunny and 38 degrees

This morning the roads were trashed from light snow, plus it snowed a little once I got to work but once off of work the sun was out and roads dry...LET'S GO

I mixed up some Griot's Garage RW, had leftover RW from previous washes that I used for rinse water and quickly knocked out the RW, TRC's M-22 drying towel is simply AMAZING🤌🤌

Once done I gave the tires a quick swipe with my "mix", took out the front WeatherTechs and soaked them with the rinse water, vac'd out the interior, wiped the interior w/ leftover RW and finally sprayed Griot's Garage Stinky Be Gone in the car, also the engine bay with leftover RW, showing how many uses it has...but you all know that already

How's the under carriage look?

Started out planning to just do the wheels, tyres and wheel wells on the FJ, but the weather cooperated, overcast and 27C/91f gave me the chance to do a full wash. I started off foaming Reset from my Kwazer pumper, but with a tyre valve recently added so I can pressurise with my Ryobi compressor, 38-40psi is usually good. Scrubbed with my wheel brush on the wheels and wells, then went back and used ADS Tire Cleaner on the tyres, impressive product. I haven't used a wheel cleaner on the wheels since I sprayed them, but the paint is starting to chip away, but you can only notice up close, I've already started looking for the next colour.PSX_20260208_175054.jpgPSX_20260208_175220.jpgPSX_20260208_175357.jpg

Then did a single bucket wash with Nanolicious, used the Reacher and my old Meg's Lambswool mitt. Identified about 4 more spots where the clear coat is about to go. Oh well, this summer has had some brutal days.PSX_20260208_175729.jpg

After drying with a Liquid8r for the glass and a big Silk Dryer on the paint, no drying aid, I topped it with Amplify. Just in time for a few drops of rain to start.PSX_20260208_175554.jpg

Call me crazy, but right now, especially after last nights foam cannon wash, I think Gold Class is considerably slicker than Hyper Wash.

I’m going to continue using Gold Class for the foreseeable future.

Did the paint fail because it wasn't thick enough

So this morning I decided to run the EN through the touch-free wash as it was going to be in the upper 30's today...it was

Once home after work, with plenty of time to kill, I decided to do some interior cleaning/protecting, "sprucing things up" if you will

So I started with DIY Detail Interior Clean and Protect on ALL Alcantara and carpeted door panels, plus I used this TRC "iron shaped" Interior brush and you know what...I LIKED IT! I begrudgingly use this product, despite Ivan, because it works great, I believe this is my 3rd bottle

Next up, another DIY Detail product, was Interior Ceramic, another stellar product that I've used numerous times, on my 2nd bottle! This got applied to all Interior vinyl bits, goes on wet but dries to a natrual sheen. This product is NOT cheap, about $50.00 a bottle but then again doesn't need to used often, maybe once a year

I finished up with Geist leather conditioner, all leather bits on the seats have it now, fresh coat! I'll say that either the DIY Detail Interior Ceramic I applied last fall and/or Gyeon Leather Shield, was fighting it off

Now it sits to be absorbed and leave behind plenty of protection! It's so much easier to "clean (and protect) as you go"

Yesterday I finished up with the Honda Accord I had washed the previous night. This is my nephews car and I surprised him with a quick full detail. I did a wash, claybar w/ Megs Professional Mild Clay, polish w/M205, and because I also decided to do a quick cleaning of the interior it only got a wipedown with Beadmaker as LSP.

It turned out pretty good considering I was on a bit of a time constraint. I needed to be all done before the Superbowl started yesterday @3:30pm and I got it done just in time to deliver it at the Superbowl party.
