What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

After dinner I went over the EN w/ Labocosmetica Perfecta 2.0 QD, wiped the wheels with Labocosmetica Idrosave made up as a QD 🤌🤌

After I run out of my current wheel drying aid/protectant which is a combo of Optimum detailer, Optimum Car wax and distilled water I am envisioning morphing into using Idrosave in quick detailer ratio as a replacement.
Not sure if it was you but someone had mentioned that they were using the Idrosave at a less diluted ratio than the suggested 50:1 and they were not sure that was an improvement. What say you?

Tell me more about the current concoction you just mentioned. I've got a bunch of Optmum in the basement to use up. Love doing wheels like paint - how's the durability? What ratios?

I mix it up in one gallon batches then transfer into a 16 oz spray bottle. So the ratio is 30 oz Optimum Quick Detailer, 90 oz distilled water, 6 oz Optimum Car Wax. Which gives just a couple oz less than a gallon. Pretty good stuff.
The Idrosave is not as a stout protection spray but descent and way cheaper than the Optimum mix.

Finally had time to clean the truck! It is supposed to be rain free for 2 weeks so I decided to top it with Collinite 845. I haven't "waxed" a car in a loooong time but always found it therapeutic.

Still love the gloss it gives the paint!20260304_123155.jpg20260304_123146.jpgIMG-20260304-WA0001.jpg

Many people sleep on Brown Royal but it is amazing. Ive been using it for years. What dilution do you use?

I used to use it straight undiluted and would reserve it strictly for wheels that I had to get nuclear on.. Those type of wheels seem to come along few and far between so nowadays I mostly use it @1:1 and find that it works pretty much as effective as using it straight. I still rarely use it but it’s worth it’s weight because it never lets me down whenever I need it.

Of all the products I use, I’m most confident that it’s the best of its kind, in this case wheel cleaner that can be found, hands down.

Their slogan is that it’s the best wheel cleaner in world. And I don’t think that’s an overstatement.

I'm glad you're using that instead of the Meg's Wheel Brightener, which I think they stopped making, anyway.

I have it mixed at 10:1 and it works great, love Idrosave & Labocosmetica🤌🤌

After 3 days of rain and fog, got to perform the FNW this evening...special guest WGU RW

Now the EN was VERY boosted/topped last weekend but these last 3 days were a good initial test and it passed...laughing it's head off

The rinse bucket was obviously dirty but not really, probably the best I've ever seen after driving in the rain/wet roads/fog for multiple days, TAC System is working well with ADS products here

I put in for an allocation on McKillans new pressure washer..

And I realized I am out of GSF so I am riding around town looking for some kind of shampoo.

Well you could go to Harbor Freight and get some Hyper Wash. Good price/good soap/ foams well/ rinses well. You could do a lot worse.

Took the TAOS for it's touch-free wash this afternoon and used 5 oz of Griot's Garage Foaming Surface Prep as a pre-treat...well, needless to say, all pre-treats are NOT the same

I mean it came out "better" than before but NOT like when I used Bilt-Hamber Touchless on it last week! I'll use the Griot's Garage Foaming Surface Prep as a touch-less on my car when it's days dusty but that's about it

Harbor freight is about a 40 minute drive.. I ended up grabbing some Adam's Mega foam, and dark fury for the tires. I was going try the Road Warrior but they were out of stock, so I'll just use some Green star for a pre wash.

I may pick some up next time I go to HF. I usually go up there once every couple of months. I went up there last week when they had their Icon sockets on sale and got a 3/8 in shallow, semi deep, and deep 8mm-19mm plus 1/2 icon impact sockets for $110. Really good deal imo.

Where do they sell the hyperwash at? I don't recall coming across it walking around.
