What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I landed a new job in sales and driving the truck with these gas prices would drive me bankrupt, so I bought a hybrid.

After a lot of research I decided on the Civic Hybrid Hatchback. What color you ask, well of course Blue! I corrected the entire car and topped it with Wolfgang High Gloss Sealant. I am moving and it was the only protection that was available. Beautiful color and enjoy the hybrid. I have an Accord hybrid and unless I'm doing some long distance driving, I typically only fill up twice a month.

Wow, that is good to know. It is a lot smoother and quicker than I thought. Honda has come a long way with their tech and ride quality. I love it so far! 45mpg is much better than my trucks 14mpg too! Lol

Day off today to go to the dentist and had some different tweeter covers swapped out on the EN. After grocery shopping I needed to wash the EN, rained the past couple days, although the self-cleaning abilities are doing their thing, sans the lower black trim and tires and wheels

I started with those tires & wheels and they needed it! I decided to go with Koch Chemie Awh @10:1 and 4 brushes...still stuff knocked it out of the park! The 2x's old Gyeon ceramic coating and fresh coat of ADS Phobics was beading like crazy️

For the contact wash I backed the EN into the garage and got after it! I chose Opti-Coat RW and Dr. Beasly Paint Hero for a drying aid & CarPro Clarify Phobics to further boost my glass. The Dr. Beasly Paint Hero is unique as its a thicker drying aid but the gloss is immediate as you need to almost buff it as your drying (I'm sure you guys know what I mean) and CarPro Clarify Phobics is a monster beading product

I finished by applying some ADS Ghost to my Continental DWS06's as they were "lacking", even though I coated them last fall, not sure what's going on here Once dried they don't look like their usual self, so it looks like a topper is in order, maybe CarPro Darkside as it's sitting till Sunday morning for C&C

Today I cleaned the entire interior with Koch Chemie Pol Star and then dressed it with Aqua Gloss.
Afterwards did a rinseless wash in the direct sun. It wasnt too dirty but had pollen on it and it had gotten rained on which distributed the pollen everywhere. Used ONR with multiple microfibers. Used Absolute at 1:64 as my drying aid. Probably going to be doing more rinseless washes now that it has warmed up with temps about 80 at wash time. The great part about using rinseless is no water spots and it quick. Can always do a modified rinseless if my vehicle is fairly dirty. Think im going to use the Absolute going forward for a drying aid for all washes. Even after a shampoo contact wash. It prevents water spots, is extremely slick for drying and doesnt make my good drying towels Hydrophobic.

Getting my Highlander ready for the upcoming scorching az summer. I repaired the rock chips that pelt your paint driving in AZ. I should have had a PPF done when we moved here.
Did a clay bar followed by polishing using The Last Polish

as developed by detailer Jace Price. Did a great job cleaning up the paint.
Will use it again. Then wiped down with CarPro Eraser. Did a full application of Gyeon Mohs Evo. 8 hours worth. My shoulders and arms feel it.

The wheels, I will never look at them in direct sunlight! I coated them with Gyeon Rim for now. Lets see how long it holds up.

Very early wash/detail to beat the sun. Sun and black do not mix well. Cleaned the fender wells with super clean foam cleaner. Dressed with black magic fender well protectant. Engine cleaned and detailed. Dressed with sonus motor kote. Finished with TWHS wet wax. Headlights/taillights got a coating of Mc kees 37 headlight protection spray.

Oil change/tire rotation was done Thursday.

Did he admit to the scratch or did you discover it on your own? This is the kind of stuff that gives me anxiety about taking my car to get any work done. Unless its brand new, they play the oh... That was there...

I noticed it when he left. I didnt bring it up because he would probably make it worse, so I fixed it. He also gave me a discount on the tint. This will be the last time I call him to tint my car though.

Some people just dont care about paint and it shows.
