What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

What are the dimensions on that garage? It looks like a nice size but may be tight for 3 vehicles. So I assume in typical Florida fashion it will house two vehicles plus a storage area for anything & everything. Don't understand why there aren't more sheds used in Florida.

The garage is 31'W x 28'D. It will fit 3 cars comfortably but my current garage is 33' wide so I got used to the extra width. I only store cars in my garage lol. Our neighborhood doesn't allow sheds, unfortunately, which i think is stupid.

Ran the EN through the touch-free before work this morning, 34 degrees, so no drying (has spot-less rinse as last step) but once I got home I wiped it down with DIY Detail Envie and I've got like 1/3 of a bottle left

Hi Eldo, Long time since we've talked!
What did you use on the paint?
Was it just a clay and LSP or did you buff?

My old neighborhood was the same. But childrens play houses were ok. So people built sheds that looked like a playhouse. The new neighborhood, I know the HOA president so I can get away with pretty much anything....

I cleaned up the glass on the FJ, removed this morning's rain spots, got to test out some new waffle weave cloths I bought for $2.99 at Autobarn, they seem identical to the CG red waffle weave glass cloth that sell for about $12, used them with Carpro Clarify Phobic. Anyone had this happen before, mid wipe a bug landed on the glass and before I could stop the wipe action I smeared it all over the driver's side front window, messy.PSX_20260422_154754.jpgPSX_20260422_154702.jpg

Been a bit too busy to post but ive been using some new to me products.

I have to say that used as a drying aide Katiba Gloss Booster is a massive disappointment. It doesnt add the slickness or gloss I expected from a product this lauded. Maybe it needs to be applied only as a topper, but for my use it has been disappointing. I have tried it in a few spots on a dry panel, and didnt notice much of a difference. On my last watch I used some KCX FSE and the difference was night and day, brought shine back, and smoothness.

The FSE also helps with water spotting so I figured it might help with hard water residue. Seems to work well. With that said, I dont think the hard water properties of FSE are why it outperformed the Gloss booster. ADS amplify did a noticeably better Job adding gloss than FSE. At this point I am probably going to buy a gallon of amplify, or try DIY envie.

I have also been working with Adams mega foam, and man, what a good product so far. I was a fan of the Adams Shampoo, but mega foam is a notch above. It rinses easy, and cleans well. This may be placebo, but it also seems to bring back my water beading more effectively. I definitely prefer it to the ADS Shampoo+ . The smell, cleaning capability and lack of streaking make it my new go to shampoo. Probably going to buy a gallon of it soon.

Finally, something NOT new to me, 3d bug remover. My commute is about an hour and a half now, and an hour of that is back country roads, so the car is getting hammered with bugs. The Enzyme bug cleaners are a life saver. I am probably going to buy a gallon.

You just saved me Katiba gloss booster money. Thank you!

Couldn't agree more though with FSE and the Mega Adam's foam (first gallon I think I bought - or maybe Hyper Wash?)... great products!

Mega Foam reminds me of Juicy Fruit gum

First wash and ceramic coating on new car. Polished with Carpro Reflect. Used ADS quartz coating. Very easy to use. We’ll see how it holds up.

Dusted off the Qashqai and applied some ADS Ceramic Spray Sealant, which is the second layer, the first was applied about a month ago. I was more generous this time, after watching Sheepstar's latest ranked video. Applied very easily, I found one dry streak I missed wiping, but I went over it with the still damp application MF and it wiped away fine. PSX_20260423_163949.jpg

Yes....Yes I have

FNW

Before heading into the touch-free I finished off a bottle of Labocosmetica Preludio pre-wash

I'll be drying it off here and when I get home I'll be applying a coat of Gyeon Q2 Wax, letting it sit overnight and will remove it tomorrow afternoon

In the morning I'll be taking the TAOS to The Bays Wheeling for 3 hrs of proper attention

Man those new Corvettes look almost like a Lambo at the right angle. Almost had me fooled... 😂

So today was TAOS day at The Bays Wheeling, it needed it as the touch-free wash never gets it 100%

Here's the list of what was used today to bring the TAOS up to par:

Tires & Wheels
-------------

-ADS Tire Cleaner

-Turtle Wax Rapid Decon wheel cleaner

-Koch Chemie Awh @5:1 in a spray
bottle

-ADS Ghost Tire Coating

-TAC System Water Flow

Pre-wash
--------

-Labocosmetica Purifica Decon

2BM wash
---------

-Labocosmetica Semper

LSP
---

-TAC System Water Flow (different ratio for foam gun)

Misc
----

-Adam's WW

So this thing really needed a good cleaning, the ADS Phobics is still beading good after 3 full monthes but unless I do a contact wash, I'm very 100% satisfied with the results

I started with the tires & wheels, 4 different brushes and ADS Tire Cleaner for the tires and a combo of Turtle Wax Rapid Decon wheel cleaner & Koch Chemie Awh @5:1 in a spray bottle. The tires turned "brown enough" because with ADS Ghost they repell dirt pretty well, plus it's run through the touch-free 1-2x's a week, couple contact cleanings in there but NO boosting the ADS Ghost, what you see in the one pic is after an EGO dryer drying and hand touch-up and air drying! I re-applied 2x's with plenty of time inbetween

The pre-wash choice is a favorite of mine, actually killed the bottle of Labocosmetica Purifica Decon soap (have the back-up ready to go). This product was left to dwell while I cleaned up my area for the next customer and rinsed clean away, making it looked like I didn't even need the 2BM

The 2BM was handled by Labocosmetica Semper, a highly concentrated carwash. Now these Euro washes aren't big on suds but no matter, 1 oz in about 3.5 gallons made all my section passes SMOOTH, cleans amazingly well

Next was a "booster" for the ADS Phobics, no matter how good it's doing it's 3 monthes old, about 66% of it's life left, best case scenario and since it's outside 24/7 and washed alot through the touch-free wash, a little "boost" is always a great idea and this product doesn't disappoint here! Once applied I let it dwell while collecting my tools and products to move to the next area, rinsing made great beads and surely added gloss to the TAOS' beautiful blue paint

After drying with the EGO dryer I moved over to the detail area. I had taken out the d/s WeatherTech to clean it with Griot's Garage Tire/Wheel/Mat Cleaner (not listed above) and took out the p/s side one, cleaned with Adam's WW, vac'd out, vac'd out the rear area, took care of the seats, ADS PILOT on all interior bits and even gave the engine bay a quick wipedown with Adam's WW, used it on the jams as well

Once home I removed the Gyeon Q2 Wax from the EN and boosted the tires with ADS Tire+. I have to say I love color, too bad my EN isn't one

In regards to that BMW at the very beginning of this thread? I polished it with HD Speed. That was the protection on that 1.

Yes, I know as far as protection it’s fairly weak, but boy can it make a car look good, especially a nice color like that one.
