What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

HATE working in the sun. Sunday afternoon wash/detail. Finished with wax and dry plus as a drying aid.
Its getting to that time of year when you get zero time before the water flashes off. I'm in the process of moving my wash station to an area that is shady in the afternoon as even past 9am-ish I can't do it.

How are you liking the Wax and Dry Plus? I just bought some of the regular Wax and Dry, its a great product that doesn't get much air time, really good on those water spots and it also does a nice job concealing imperfect paint.

6am detail therapy. The only way to do a black vehicle! NO SUN. Good wash and interior detail. Finished with TW wax and dry plus as a rinse wax. Tonneau cover got a coat of Wolfstiens tonneau protectant. The aqua bead at 3:1 has been fantastic to dress the wheel wells.

Love the new wax and dry plus. The regular wet wax is also one of my staples.

So this morning I got after it, before the sun came up too high, same with the humidity

I started by cleaning the wheels using Griot's Garage Wheel Cleaner, perfect for the task of light dirt, 3 brushes used. I also sprayed Alien Kleen up in the wheel wells and used the Speed Master to get up in there

For the wash I used Labocosmetica Preludio alkaline for the pre-treat, all over the cars and let sit. I then mixed up some Labocosmetica Idrosave for the 2BM RW. This combo came out SO NICE

I finished by topping up the tires with Pure:est tire dressing with that cosmetic applicator, now it's ready for a C&C tomorrow I've never been to before

Did it need a wheel alignment or was the steering wheel at 12 o'clock
Steering wheel is still straight, it was more the back I was worried about, wedged against the gutter, but it appears fine, I used an angle meter ap in my phone with a some wood I cut to fit flush against the rim, it all looked fine when sitting level in the garage. I'll still get it done soon.

It’s been a busy week but here are a couple of jobs.

This BMW is the fourth car I’ve coated from this friend/customer. Thankfully this was just a standard coating job. No water spots, no major defects and nothing more than the ordinary swirls from automated washes. 3D One and Urofiber 50/50 pads were more than enough to take care of of everything except the RIDS. Coated with Pearl Nano X v2 again. I wish my camera did a better job of capturing the true color. It’s more of a dark charcoal with blue flakes.

This 07 C6 belongs to one of my colleagues on our security team. He said that he tries to wash in his garage but he never feels like he’s actually doing any good and pretty much stop maintaining it. We gave it a wash, clay and seal just to clean it up and add some gloss and protection. I polished the hood to show him what could be done to resurrect the Vette and in two weeks we’re going to polish and coat to keep this car shining long into it’s 3rd decade on the road.
