Suds still present after drying. Bungee used as clothes line in back on right.

Suds still there after more than an hour later. This is view dry suds (one surfactant used). The pros of dry suds - more foam, more cling., and longer lasting. Cons include harder to rinse and does not clean as well, It has always been a little harder rinse but nothing major.

Forgot to mention, I reached out to Gyeon about being able to wash the Atlas, they confirmed that after a week Mohs is fully cured, and ready for whatever wash.
 
To save a little time I decided to clean the engine bay before my trip to The Bays Wheeling this afternoon

I used Griot's Garage engine bay cleaner and one of my larger barrel brushes. I rinsed everything down with distilled water in my IK Sprayer. I then took my mini Master Blaster to dry things up and finished with Koch Chemie Mp, this is what it looked like this morning after curing overnight

The other thing is my brand new K&N cabin airfilter. I usually replace it the week before the Dragon trip but I figured I had it already, why not. I must say, being garage kept now and not under trees, the almost years old cabin filter looked pretty damn good

A day at The Bays

I decided to make sure to clay today and I'm glad I did! I've been noticing some grit on the paint and today was the day, overdue and the results were AWESOME️

So I started out with the tires & wheels, as usual and that task was handled by Koch Chemie Awh diluted at 5:1, just love this product! Once done there I boosted the protection using TAC System Water Flow, was already beading but more is better on wheel protection here

Next was pre-treat wash and who else but Bilt-Hamber Touchless, 4 oz in the foam cannon, foam and let dwell and rinse...CLEAN and crazy beads

The next thing is a little different here as I used Labocosmetica Revitax wash & coat. First I foamed the entire EN and began to clay using the Griot's Garage clay disc. After a while I had to re-foam a section at a time as it was falling off the EN but while going around I noticed how SMOOOOTH the paint was! I then rinsed that down and then re-foamed the entire EN, let dwell and rinsed...overkill, yes but this is yours truely we're talking about here

I then used the EGO dryer to get some of the water off but the battery was almost dead but I really wanted to hand dry to rub that Labocosmetica Revitax in. What I noticed was probably too much protection as it didn't all wash off, so I had a plan! That plan was to use a detail towel and ADS Amplify to level the stuff down and with a little elbow grease and Amplify it came out AMAZINGLY🤌🤌

Moving into the detail area had me applying CarPro Clarify Phobics to all exterior glass, Pure:est tire dressing and a once over the EN as I had better lighting here to see more "high spots" to level down

Once done I drove home, about a 25 minute drive and halfway home

Cleanest car in Chicago!
 
Shopping for a new water hose shut off valve. Fuller (1/2 inch) flo too. My brass one is wearing out.

I am also getting ready for Labor day sales., I want some water spot remover and iron remover and will likely get something else to fill up the cart to get free shipping. I want a panel prep spray that is not as grabby as Carpro Eraser.

Quick Interior detail yesterday of k5. Exterior got a rinseless, then cracked open a bottle of can coat evo that was on the shelf with a production date of 8/2023. Applied to the k5. Atleast its protected now with somwthing more stout than feynlab hcd until im able to paint correct and coat it.

On another note, im going to have to call autoality tomorrowto find oit if they are discontinuing the labocosmetica lineup. I went to place a resuplly order and half of what i noemally buy is not even listed om the site. I hope this is not the case as i will be greatly disappointed!
 
Well I had to get after the EN after getting caught in the rain about 10 minutes after leaving Tire Bays Wheeling yesterday, so a touch-free and gas top up was in order today, dried it at the Shell station too

The big YT influencers seem to avoid the video called washing safely and inexpensively using a garden hose and sprayer with Home Depot buckets without a garage that looks like it is a living room.

Based on MY experience, most women don't care. Their car is like a big purse to them.

Not a criticism, just an observation.
 
So after talking with autoality, they confirmed that yes infact they are discontinuing the labocosmetica/maniac lines from their store. Was told that the reason was labo made some changes on the company side that was not detailer friendly(not verbatum). Was told that they guess that labo will be back in a couple years. I guess that a couple other big names pulled a similar move in past years and returned couple years later.

With that being said i will no longer use labo products. Except one product that i would pay full price for, and that would be sidero. There is no iron product that ive found that can do what it does and is dilutable. The guy at autoality concured with me on that.

He pointed me to Koch chemie brand as a great alternative. Mainly speaking reguards to a primus 2.0 alternative. So i will be making a jump soon to testing thier offerings. Now i have to search the forums and see if deyon did and koch chemie specific threads on thier products

On a good note, they now carry detail factory brushes si can now snag some of deyons favorites.
