What did you do today non-detailing related?

I'm not even sure I knew that (that you could catch chickenpox from someone with shingles). Do you not vaccinate for chickenpox down there? Here in the US virtually anyone who was born before the vaccine had chickenpox as a kid, so is immune (from chickenpox) either way (I guess).

And now you can look forward to possibly getting shingles later. Apparently people who were vaccinated for chickenpox can still get shingles, but are at less risk than people who actually had chickenpox.

Ha, ha, funny.
I had chickenpox, bad, as a kid. When she was living with us my MIL had shingles so I've seen first-hand the suckage that can be. Much later when during a routine doctor visit our doctor told my wife and I that there's a vaccine for shingles we were like "SIGN US UP!". No regrets here, do NOT want shingles.

My face, head and neck plus arms are the WORST I'm just trying not to scratch and it's really hard to keep my mind off it.

All this sitting down watching TV is doing my head in because I like to stay active especially when the weather is good at the moment.

☹️

It's horrible, there's nothing that really helps. About 7 years ago I developed a rash that would shift to different parts of the body, but it would always be symmetrical, left forearm then right forearm, right foot then left foot, and both butt cheeks at one stage🌑. My doctor started running tests, telling me all the scary things it could be he eventually sent me to a skin specialist when he couldn't figure it out. The specialist examined me for maybe 10 minutes, then asked me if I had a cold just before the rash appeared, which I had, and he said the cold virus is still in my system, and I'm mildly allergic to it, and it will take months to clear up, in my case about 18 months, I didn't even notice when it was gone, I just wasn't itchy anymore. Treatment was a quadruple dose of antihistamines every day, if the allowed dose was 2 tablets I could have 8, to reduce the itching, also cool baths and showers were good.

Calamine spray and Pinetarsol were a God send today,
I have some lumps in some very interesting places....

SIT REP,
Felling heaps better today still got lumps but NOT the itch looking back probably should of went into the doctor's on Wednesday when I first found some lumps to see maybe if they would give any antibiotics.

But antihistamine/ Calamine spray and Pinetarsol for the itch did the trick unfortunately now I'm the colour of the Hulk..

Cheers boy's 🍻

I added new foam strips to the door skins, and in between the body coloured plastic trim and the door skins, the original foam had dried out and flattened, that combined with my new speakers created some rattles. Tested out with Dire Straits Money for Nothing cranked way up, no rattles. Next step find a bumpy dirt road to do some more testing.

Deja vu all over again, lawn mowed, dust blown off the FJ, but I know this isn't a Groundhog Day situation because today one of the dogs did a fresh poo in the middle of the backyard just after I picked them all up, but before I mowed, and they both watched me go get the pooper scooper, so I don't know which one is the joker.

Looking Green!

I ventured outside for the first time in 2 weeks did the lawn and whipper snipper a bit.

Dad doesn't do a job like me I'm more thorough dusty dry grass nothing lush or green.

Tomorrow I will pick up were I left off even though I'm 2 weeks behind doing the stuff to the car. But fighting 30km winds and rain 🌧 showers.

That will be 1000% dirty rain because of local fires. 🤬

Picked up a few new fishing lures

That mouse is too funny, what would be the target fish for that (for you)? And Shimano is still around, eh? I have a Shimano lure somewhere, unless I'm not remembering that right.

Getting my annual eye test, I'm currently sitting in the waiting room waiting for the special drops to kick in, everything is getting really bright. At my age, and with type 2 diabetes, they like to check the blood vessels at the back of the eye, so they use special drops to fully dilate my pupils. So this is what the druggies see when they're fully spaced out. Yeah, once a year is enough.

Did you drive after?

I wasn't planning on driving home, but Mum had a slip in one of the shops, and didn't want to drive, she's 84, no injuries, just embarrassed. It was raining by the time we were coming home anyway, so it was ok. It's still very bright now when I look outside, but the sun is out.

Those drops really kick my butt on sunny days.
I have to wear sunglasses and then the tinted insert they give you as well in order to keep my eyes open because it's so bright.
It's worth the inconvenience though knowing your doc is thoroughly checking your eyes.

These are all for largemouth bass. That shamano swimbait is pretty popular in some places. Expensive for regular lure but kind of cheap for large swimbaits. They get very expensive
