What did you do today non-detailing related?

Finally finished my butterfly house.....

The neighbor appears to have their garage floor sealed. I plan to get this done at some point. What was strange I thought they did it last week and then came back this week to do more. I am not sure if there was some issue.

We just had our crawlspace sealed and insulated with a sump pump. We are in a area where the ground water level is fairly high as other neighbors have had issues yet when it does not rain the clay is like concrete and soil does not drain well. When we had out house built, they had to put in a special septic system and extra soil.

My new-old Rover earning its keep on two commercial mowing jobs this morning, 26-years old and running like new! I'm going to call this one the Turbo-Thrust from now on!

Sat on my backside and watched V8 Supercars, if it wasn't on I'd be walking honestly 🙃

I had go to a funeral (wife's brother) yesterday and was a pall bearer. It was a very informal furneral. The weather was perfect with temperatures around 80F (26.7 C) and sunny. The grave was at a very small family cemetery in the foothills in Virginia that requires driving through a yard of a house to access a one lane road (more like trail). The casket was delivered in a nice Chevy Suburban. I am sure they have to deal with other similar gravesites in this rural e area. Luckily the road loops so no one had to back out or turn around.

On a detailing note, my newly clean and dressed tires are trashed due road work and driving off road a few hundred yards.

Sorry for your loss.

According to my guy, it can be done in one day but you get better results if you go with the slower cure stuff. That's the way I went. Sometimes they have to fix issues too.

The TURBOTHRUST has now paid for itself. Two things to note after today –

- After I finished mowing, my near-blind client asked me what mower I was using. He’d been listening to it while I was mowing and remarked how sweet it sounded, how it didn’t miss a beat. Yep, I noticed that as well…………………

- The final job of the day, ankle high grass, full throttle. This thing just slashed through the grass without a sweat. Not once did it bog down, or even cause the governor to compensate for the extra load. This Intek is easily one of the stoutest lawn mower engines I’ve used.

For my Aussie followers, you will know the reference here, this is not the first Intek I’ve sampled……………………

add a Nitrous bottle and give it a shot

Did a test of this method. of painting...thought it came out pretty good for a first try.
paint a board with a base coat....take a mist water bottle and create water drops...just like on a cars paint.
Spray a white highlight from one direction and then black from the opposite direction.
Don't touch it and let it dry.
the one photo shows the surface is flat after drying...

Very cool. I know it's flat because of the last shot, but it just isn't in the others, damn trickery.

I was listening to some old albums and decided to upgrade the stylus. The sound is much clearer. I have been listening to The Cars and now cannot get the music out of my mind. The Cars had a unique sound for the late 70's. Their "The Cars" album had a lot of good songs. This started when my Bluetooth receiver for my receiver died and relied on "local" music.
