What did you do today non-detailing related?

Possibility of a few inches of rain next week so I cleaned the rain water intake on the tank and checked the water level, just over 30cm from the top, I'm a bit surprised as we haven't had a lot of rain this year.
Dave, that collected rainwater just gets used for lawn watering and that kind of thing?

That sounds complicated--what happens if you don't have any rain and the tanks run dry?
More complicated than I understand, since it uses power to pump from the main tank to a gravity feed tank in the roof, so when you have a black out, does that mean no toilets? No, they have a backup connection to the normal water supply, if there is no water in the main tank or power to pump it, it draws water from the regular mains, there's some kind of pressure trigger, or so I'm led to believe. Sounds a lot more complicated than just using mains water, but we are a country of regular droughts, so making the most of our rainwater makes sense.

I did some plumbing today, replaced my shower head. I had a rain type shower head, but one of the nozzles broke and now it's raining on the wall. Well the cheap ones are very cheap, so I went mid range, but a bit fancy. This one was $119, it has 4 different settings, adjustable with a wave near the sensors, and the LED ring changes colour based on the water temp. In the pic it's green, but it's to get the colour to show. It's blue when cold, I don't know if it goes red when hot, yet. I couldn't find anywhere to replace a battery, so I think it may be water powered. PSX_20260213_155902.jpg

Yeah, and the toilets are hooked up to it. Also the dogs prefer if I fill up their water bowls from the tank rather than the tap.
That's because tap water contains chlorine and all kinds of other poisons
I double filter all of tye water that my animals and myself ingest
These people are trying to kill us 💀

On a side note if you'll remove that shower head and drill out the flow hole slightly larger you'll get much better water pressure
It's a game changer 🏆

Mowed the lawn today, my supervisor followed me around checking grass height as I went.

We're hoping it gets warm enough to chip out the snow turds today. All of the snow basically turned into ice over the past 2 weeks.

The only thing I've done today is take a dump, read my Bible and feed all these animals
The day is still young though. No telling what might happen with the rest of it

I published 6 books and repaired a toilet that was constantly running
What a day...
