I am a little confused on what to do with the black trim piece that goes around the car. On the sides it looks like rubber or it may be painted it is hard to tell. But on the front and rear it looks like a section that was just painted matte instead of glossy. So do I wax these sections or treat them as trim/rubber?

(Mostly because I like 'stangs and I wanna see an '88 Saleen!!) :awesome:

OP, post a pic so we can determine the finish, though most likely plastic or rubber. In that case, you would need to thoroughly clean it and apply something such as Black Wow or Solution Finish. Of course, thats based on my assumption of plastic/rubber.

Here are the pictures a side view, the rear bumper, where the rear bumper meets the side, and front bumper. You can see where when I pulled tape off from doing some paint correction it pulled off a little of the matte paint in picture three.

:iagree: I use Black Wow Pro and it IMO one of the best plastic or rubber cleaner/protectant out there. Since you have a Stang, I THINK (just guessing) it is plastic.

That should work.
