These are a few scratches that I don't know what caused them but I tried turtle compound which was laying around. What would you recommend? By hand and if by machine what pad and product. Thanks

I'd start with Scratch-X, it's safe.

Like everything else, there is a technique. For me Maguire scratch X works best
Work one scratch at a time don't try to take on both with the same application.
Put a small pea sized drop on the corner of microfiber towel
Apply using small circles on the scratch. Apply until you have worked the product into the scratch then use a clean microfiber towel to wipe it off.
It may take several passes of this technique until you bring the scratch down but it does work.
I had a Chevy technician work on my car, and he was wearing a belt buckle which left a huge scratch on the door, into the clearcoat, and I was able to remove it completely, but it did take a bit of effort and some time
