This is probably a repeat but I would like to know what everyone uses to wash their own cars without a foam gun. My Meguiars Gold is just about gone.

I was using Meguiar's NXT and Gold class, but recently graduated to Poorboys and Duragloss car washes.

I also have ONR for those rough San Francisco Bay Area winters :)

With or without a foam gun Meg's Gold Class is great for the price! I love the smell and the way it cleans the car. I tried the NXT and was not very happy with it. I also have the DP Extreme and it is awesome! I'd like to give the PB soap a try.

i like my gold class, great price for the amount of soap, and probably one of the best you can get OTC. i do have a sample of the DP soap though , havent used it yet because im afraid of liking it too much, the minty smell alone almost converted me!

Was using GC, still using GC. With and without a foam gun, using a sea sponge.

I go through a lot of shampoo so I don't want to begin shelling out a lot of money for it. It's very inexpensive, works very well, and is easily found OTC in large sizes.

I simply love NXT Car Wash. I use it daily. Now for over 8 months. I've tried others but I can't replace it. It sheets the water off and leave the surface slick. It works awesome as a clay lube while washing too. The key is getting the right amount.

Smell dang good too!

How could I forget to mention that I use the ShMitt and the ShMitt ONLY!!!!

LOL!!!

Something about two buckets too.......

Chenille and Poorboys SSS or Duragloss, love that Duragloss wash, picked it up OTC before AG carried it. Foams like hell. No Schmitt but that's on next order.

Well, I must be the only one using Pinnacle's Auto Body Shampoo. It smells wonderful and it is a great product. On sale until Sunday night!!!

PINNACLE ROX!

A friend of mine saw this site and started buying the stuff for his and his wife's Porsches. He uses the Wolfgang Auto bath. He loves it!!! I have not bought that yet myself but it is also on sale.;)

NXT and Optimum no rinse wash will try Gold Class as soon as NXT is done.

I use Pinnacle bodywork shampoo, Poorboy's SS&S. Wolfgang is another good one, but has a rusty-fishy smell (I hate fish). Optimum is another favorite one. I couple that with sheepskin mitt, or ShMiTT.

I used to be an exclusive Zaino user, Z7 shampoo. But, after trying out the Poorboys SS&S, I love it!!! Lots of suds and great smell.

Just got some DP Extreme, used the sample previously and liked it.

It is a great shampoo, very close to Pinnacle, but not quite Pinnacle. But I don't like it's rusty-fishy smell.
Will I use it again - yes, I will use up that bottle. Will I buy more - probably not, I will stick with Poorboy's, Pinnacle, and Optimum.

I still have 1.5 gallons of PB SS&S and will probably buy more when needed. I actually like WG Autobathe a little more but the cost keeps me from using it as much. I am still debating purchasing a gallon of the WG at the current discount but I have a lot of soap. To me the WG is slightly slipperyer (I know that isn't a real word). It feels like I am rubbing a fish belly when I wash with WG. I don't recall a fishy smell though.
I have only used a sample of the Pinnacle wash. Maybe it was an older formulation, but it was not as slick or as sudsy as the above mentioned soaps. Maybe I should try it again.
