The Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System is designed for a dual action polisher! While it won’t replace Meguiars 105 and 205 for the removal of wet sanding scratches, this system will work wonders on swirls, many scratches, acid rain spots, and other mild to moderate defects on factory paint. The best part is, it’s easy! The Meguiars DA Microfiber System uses the latest Super-micro abrasive technology to give you a clean, efficient user experience.

I understood that these pads were supposed to be used with polish.

What am I missing?

I am looking at picking up these and a Griot's 3" DA for tight spots like the annoying spots at the top corners of the license plate area.

Thanks

I'm a little confused about what you're confused about...

They can be used with compound, polish, AIOs and if you really wanted to, I guess you could apply a wax with them.

Did that answer any question you might have?

Specifically, this portion of the product description:

If you are wet sanding and need to remove sanding marks while the M105 M205 combo on a rotary is the best option but these can remove 3000 grit and higher. Make sense?

Looked at the description of the Megs Microfiber Correction Compound and it seems like they are saying that the combination of the microfiber pad with microfiber correction compound won't correct wet sanding marks, which should be 2000 or less. 'You need 105/205 combo for that.' The product description does not mention a rotary anywhere.

Let me provide a little context here for you...

The Meguiar's Microfiber Pad DA Correction System was introduced for the detailing industry for production detailing.

The production detailing industry doesn't normally include wetsanding.

The goal was to get the "industry" away from the traditional and historic practice of hacking up new and used cars with wool pads on rotary buffers by providing a two step approach that leaves a swirl free finish.

I'm happy to say that from what I've seen, Meguiar's efforts to change a very archaic and caveman industry is working.

Keep in mind, ANY pad/product/tool that can remove paint as in removes swirls of course would be capable of removing sanding marks, it's just that's not what this system was developed for nor the market it was targeted to go after.

Make sense?
