Was wondering what headphones if any do you use while detailing? I used to be a singer so I use my custom molded in ear monitors as headphones which makes it nice because i can't hear the buffer at all. With that said, the cable connected to my phone drives me crazy. Anyone using bluetooth headphones? How do you like them?

Thanks Chris

I use audio-technica m50x headphones. Can't compare studio headphones to normal headphones.

Rather than using a set of headphones, I pop in a set of Stanley foam earplugs. These really knock down the noise of the buffer to almost nothing. Most of the time I don't mind a little background noise from a game or music, but for some reason I find the silence while detailing therapeutic.

None!

Speakers in the ceiling.

Some cheap bluetooth set from Amazon. I'm not too worried about high quality. Just something to mask the noise of the buffer and that doesn't add additional wiring around me. Phone stays distant and safe.

If I'm outside or moving a lot I go with my JVC HA-FX1X In-Ear Buds with Comply Foam Isolation tips. Amazing bang for the buck.

If I'm doing paint correction inside or in the A/C I'll have my AKG K553's.

And I always have my Fiio A3 Portable Amp connected. I can't listen to music with headphones without it.

For a wired set, you cannot beat these for the price, less than $8 shipped on Amazon. Excellent sound quality and they fit snug inside your ears. Panasonic (RP-HJE125-D)

None, I love listening to music too. I never have music on when detailing. Like a Ferrari without a radio, I listen to the loud Italian motor on my Rupes:)

I think most times I really just enjoy the detailing and not even being distracted by the radio. I have been known to drive for hours on the car w/o music too, but more often I'm listening to classic rock or country.

Bose QC 35 - noise cancelling and sound awesome.

I use ear plugs. No music just semi-quiteness. My Flex 3401 is loud IMO. Earplugs negates the noise. I get in a zen mode when I have the ear plugs on....

Bose QuietComfort 35. Hands down these are the perfect all-around headphones for drowning out loud power tools and listening to rock and roll. They're perfect for long plane rides too. If I couldn't listen to Dio and Manowar whilst chomping away at clear coat I would probably just stop detailing. If music is important to you I say at least try them in a store. Oftentimes the Bose display models allow you to play music from your smartphone so you can get a better idea of how they sound.

No headphones. As a mechanic, I like to listen to the machinery.

Yes, I know............ :dunno:

I had JVC wireless marshmallows, just got a set of Pioneer wireless over ear from Sams Club. They’re not noise canceling so I’ll be getting some QC35s soon

None, just my portable bluetooth JBL speaker.

I've got a JBL Flip3, love that little speaker. I just checked, now there is a Flip4 offered. Flip is my only quality speaker other than my 2006 Sienna JBL factory car audio.
