I just received this from a friend today. I already have Meg's APC in gallon size. How are these two products different? I heard Super Degreaser can be used to clean machine polishing pads.

Good question.

I bought a gallon of it. Tried it on tires - not too impressed. Works OK to clean pads, but not as good as LA Awesome or BF Pad Cleaner. I haven't really found a use for it - which didn't stop me from buying it.

Maybe greasy door jambs?

Not knowing everything do has never keep me from buying products. Works great on engines etc. But since I do this as a hobby I will never use a gallon. So I use it in my mop bucket to help clean the garage floor and spray some directly on any oil or grease spots. Works good.

I just cant not resist the price of gallons.

Meguiar's Super De-greaser...?

Engines, tires, wheel wells. I haven't found a better tire cleaner. APC just doesn't compare to super degreaser on tires.

I use to use it on tires but I have since found a better cleaner. Now it is used for engines, wheel wells and cleanings pads only for me.

I would not put this on paint.

I am currently using it as my tire cleaner 5:1.

I have also used it to clean up my underbody when I was installing/overhualing my suspension.

I love the stuff. To me it smells just like purple power though. but it also works good on interior plastics, fender wells, I have used it on carpet and stains on seats, door jambs, caked on bugs on the front of cars. just give it a try you may like it or not either way its not gonna stop me from liking it

Which better cleaner for tires are you referring to?

Ive been using Meguiars Non Acid Wheel and Tire Cleaner and have found it cleans better than Super degreaser alone. Leaves tires squeaky clean compared to Super Degreaser. Cheaper too.

Will have to give that a try. Thanks.

Ok, so I had to use the Meg's Degreaser today because of this thread. I used it to clean the engine compartment on my DD. It did fine, but I'm not convinced it did anything any APC couldn't do.

I do like the red color.

I tried it diluted to 1:10 today for the first time to clean wheel arches and it did nothing. Maybe I need a stronger dilution at 1:4. For those of you who have posted this to be a useless product, what else is out there that can replace it? I am willing to try.

I found it to be only as effective as their APC.

Being a "Greaser" for over a decade. When trying to remove grease. I recommend using conditioner. Suave works good.

For your hair I mean
