Is there any longer lasting solution that will restore sun faded moulding on a 2005 infiniti G35 .. basically around the windows and moon roof
If find key to getting GREAT results with any trim restorer or dressing, or even dye, starts with getting the trim as clean as possible. You need to have a good clean base or foundation to start with. Cleaning plastic trim REALLY GOOD can be kind of tricky as you have to be careful not to scratch or dull surrounding paint or other surfaces.
After you get the trim clean you need to find a product you like and will use often, or at least on a regular schedule.
NOTHING LASTS FOREVER
The trim didn't stay looking good from the factory so nothing you pour or spray out of a bottle 8 years later is going to last longer than the trim by itself. That's why you need to find something you like and use it often.
It's only when you neglect a surface that it goes down hill. If you "do something to it", and in this case "do something to it" means apply a product on a regular schedule then you can "maintain" its appearance.
Make sense?
Check out my article here,

For a trim dressing and protectant after you get your trim clean, and something that is easy and fast to use so chances are good you'll stay on top of the care and maintenance of your trim, check out the Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant, it's what I used on the trim in the above article.
Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant 4 oz
Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant 16 oz.
Before I met my new bride the plastic trim on her Honda was dull and faded. I cleaned it really well and started applying this product and now REGULARLY APPLY IT after each wash and the trim looks like brand new.
It's really all about finding a product you like and then using it.
Preferably a product thats easy to get ahold of at local stores
thanks in advance
Well this forum is a great source for "how-to information" and this forum supports the AG store. Not sure local stores have forums to provide quality help?
Most the time I go to any store I don't find the people behind the counter able to explain to me how to detail my car. So win/win deals are where both parties win.
