Hey everyone is there a specific product to clean a clay bar or is it best to throw it away after one use?

I think I remember in Nicks review for the BF product above, he used a soft toothbrush to gently scrub the clay before folding or re-using.
It couldn't hurt to try this with your clay lube or a VERY mild soap solution before trying anything else...

I usually clay after washing, still using my foam gun and rinse bucket. Another advantage of doing it this way, is that I can rub the surface of the clay with my finger while under water in the rinse bucket, before kneading.

if you have to ask about cleaning it . Time to get a new one dont take a chance with old clay if you drop it get a new one.

cut bigger bars into small pieces .... when dirty toss it out !

Unless it's fallen on a dirty floor and picked up grit which could scratch, rule of thumb is when you knead the clay and it is no longer the original color it's time to chuck.

Drop a clay bar....throw it away...get the nanoskin auto scrubber ....if u drop it....wash it off and continue...so much better then clay.

OPC/APC will clean clay pretty well. Just clean the dirty area before kneeding it. Its not perfect but neither is a dedicated clay bar cleaner, it will make it last quite a bit longer though.

honestly i've never cleaned a clay bar. breaking it into many pieces when new is crucial, as mentioned. and after i use a piece, i just knead it well...if something really noticeable is in it i'll pick it out but honestly that is rare. i get a ton of uses out of pieces due to kneading and also not having to battle anything terrible with clay. if it's genuinely dirty and you are worried about it...i would never clean it as opposed to junking it and using a fresh piece.
