What product to protect wheel covers?

I've always had the alloy wheels, but the car I have now has wheel covers. So I am trying to think of something that might work on this plastic that would protect them and keep them looking good over time.

Since there is no paint, I'm thinking sealant or wax would not bond. Is there a product out there specifically for wheel covers? I only know what I used for alloy or chrome wheels and find myself at a complete loss concerning wheel covers.

Are you referring to hubcaps? Like this:

DP Plex-All should work - it's formulated for all clear and colored plastics. Haven't tried it on hubcaps yet myself - been meaning to though. Works good on headlights, I'll say that.

Make sure to take a close look at the hubcap. Often they are painted plastic. In this case you can seal or wax them.

Otherwise, I tend to spray 303 on them every now and then as this has UV inhibitors. Brake dust doesn't tend to build up as fast on hubcaps so that's not so much of a worry.

Appreciate the replies. Yes, I am referring to the hubcaps made of plastic.

I appreciate the ideas. Nothing came to mind, so this gives me some ideas and a good starting point.

I would think that DP or Poorboys Wheel Sealant or Optiseal would also work well and protect hubcaps.
