I have a light silver Honda that can take on a light green tint in certain kinds of light. Does anyone know of a sealant and/or carnuba that they would recommend in this case? Maybe a sealant that will darken the paint. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

AIO and top with Liquid Souveran.

awsome shine . i use pinnacle souveran. and crystal mist . my car's are new so im just trying keep them the best i can . i live in the north east . and the elaments can kill a car's finish .

Our silver Lincoln has EX-P topped with Collinite 915, looks great, deffinitley no green tint. Collinite 845 looks excellent on silver as well. Sorry no pics, and it's raining anyway. You sure it's not in the flake (the green tint)? Some stuff like NXT was known for slightly changing the color to a different hue sometimes.

Thanks for the input. I have Liquid Soveran so I'll try that. Surfer, there isn't a lot of flake in the paint so I'm not sure why it looks green. I have a silver Acura which has a lot of flake and the color looks bright and doesn't have a green tint at all. Any thoughts on a sealant that will darken the paint? Thanks.

Thats next for me............. LIQUID SOUVERIN:cheers:

Meguiar's #21 will darken the finish, so is NXT. Poli-Seal has the same effect too.

seems obvious : stop parking next to green tree's and grass. (DOH)

Seriously ... used Pinnacle Souveran for years, no green, well other than envy!!

I would agree with killrwheels. I have had a number of silver cars and I have never seen any of them have a green tint unless it was a reflection. If it really does have a green tint I don't think any kind of wax or sealant is going to change that.

Ford GT, Ford GT, Ford GT.....not some Mitsubishi lol. S/C 5.4 V8, or a mean ass TT setup if you send to Heffners Performance here:D. Love that car, one of the guys here we know has a Gulf Port color one w/ pulley swap, headers and Borla Race exhaust.....it's freaking loud!!! Sparkie, what dealer was that? White w/ Blue Stripes is the best look on that car imo.

Nice SS btw Al.

Light coloured paint:
Lighter colour paints (i.e. Silver, White, etc (the exception is speed yellow) will never obtain jetting (the so called ‘wet-look’) of black or dark colours as they do not exhibit visible depth, light colours tends to refract light instead of reflecting it. You can obtain a good gloss provided the paint is good quality and if it’s prepared and detailed correctly; washed, cleaned, polished and a polymer sealant added (Zaino, Klasse AIO and SG, Jeffswerkstatt - Acrylic Jett ) these sealants will provide a flat silvery-white shine, but without ‘depth’. By adding a Carnauba wax as an LSP (Pinnacle Souverän Paste Carnauba or Autoglym Super Resin Polish) the oils that are formulated in the Carnauba waxes provide a reflective gloss, which causes jetting (a ‘wetting’ of the surface)

For optimal results the surface of a light coloured paint to show gloss is very much dependant upon good / excellent paint condition, adequately prepped to remove contaminants and minor imperfections. Detailer’s clay (Sonus SFX Ultra-Fine Detailing Clay Bar) and / or Paint cleaner (Zaino PC or Klasse AIO) should be a regular part of the preparation process.
