I am new to ceramic coatings and just purchased the WG Uber Kit. From what I understand I cannot use soap with wax or gloss enhancers in it anymore. ( I use to use Chemical Guys body wash and synthetic wax ). My question is, what is a good soap to use for this coating? I tried to email CG and I have not heard anything back. These are the two soaps I was thinking would work:

Chemical Guys - Mr. Pink Super Suds Shampoo & Superior Surface Cleanser Soap (1 Gal)

or

https://shinesupply.com/products/shift-soap-gallon ( which seems kinda expensive @ $60 a gallon )

Mr.Pink leaves a film behind to enhance gloss. I personally do not like that soap on any vehicle. I have been using carpro reset and reload every month or so to maintain.

Shift works fine but since they don't sell it here I am going to have to agree with Rsurfer and recommend CarPro Reset.

Meguiar's Hyperwash is another good option.

Well Chemical Guys has that Carbon Flex revitalize wash you can try out if you're into CG stuff.

Gyeon Bathe works nicely. Bathe+ if you want a little SiO2 coating-friendly pick-me-up.

I use Optimum Car Wash, Meguiar's Hyper Wash, and CarPro Reset most often on our coated cars.

Anyone use Meg's gold class on a coated car?

You can use any soap on a coated car, but if you don't want to leave, any waxes, polymers or glossing enhancers, then you need a soap like Reset that leaves nothing behind. Some like the way their coating reacts when wet and not have it altered by the soap.

Thanks, I didn't really think Gold class had any of those.

Reset / Gtechniq G wash. And if you ever go for a Rinsless wash Mckee's 914 doesn't have any gloss enhancers.

How's Wolfgang Autobathe? It's recommended by Wolfgang but it looks like it leaves something behind.

"Wolfgang Auto Bathe leaves behind an ultra-thin coat of gloss, resulting in a beautiful shine. The polymers in Wolfgang Auto Bathe encourage water to sheet off, leaving behind very few water droplets.".

Does Mckee's Extreme Foam have any gloss enhancers or leave anything behind?

This arrived on my doorstep today.

Yea buddy!

I've used both Poorboys Super Slick with Suds and the Sonax car shampoo on our vehicles coated with the McKee's 37 coating. Both work really well and don't seem to leave much behind, if at all.

I have been using Mr. Pink with my Gtechniq EXO for 12 months and the coating is still super hydrophobic and I don't see anything left behind.

CarPro Reset. Best soap available for coated or non coated cars.

Thanks for all the suggestions, looks like I will be trying Reset or Hyper wash. I am assuming both wont strip other coatings off such as wax or sealant that I have on a boat and jet ski? Just trying to find 1 soap that does it all ;)

Coatings are not waxes or sealants. They are all different animals.
