What to do about this Gamma Lid Seal thing?

My gamma seal lid's rubber thing (I know there is a name for it but it is escaping me at the moment) came off when I was opening the bucket the lid was on.

Now, when I try to put the (washer?) back on the lid, it always falls off.

What should I do?

I have two of them, and they have the same problem, don't know if they sell replacement gaskets, but for the price they are, it's really disapointing!

That looks like an O-Ring. So you're saying it's too big now and won't stay in place?

exactly! The O-ring is what I meant, not washer.

It no longer stays on, and now my gamma seal lid is only a Beta seal lid :( lol!

It may have swelled from contact with cleaning fluids, solvents, etc. Sometimes they will unswell by themselves, sometimes not. Not sure what material it is, white is an unusual color for an O-Ring.

Just buy a replacement cap in Home Depot. It's only like 8 bucks.

Have you tried emailing them to get a replacement? I imagine they're cheap pieces and it would barely cost anything to ship one or more out.

No, this happened today. If I could fix it myself without spending money or have AG spend money, I'd prefer that route, but if not, I will call AG customer service.

Make sure you have it in the right groove. It doesn't go where it looks like it goes...there's a groove closer to the top that you'll have to stretch it just a bit to get it into.

Mine did the same thing several years ago, once it fell off it was stretched out or something and never could go back on, oh well, I still use the lid just not when there's water in it.
