I bought the Cquartz UK kit that comes with 5 suede applicator pieces and one suede towel. I just finished applying Cquartz, but have ~3/4 of the bottle left.

I was hoping to reuse the suede pieces and towel for next year's application.

Will they still be suitable for use? I know that suede and water don't mix, so how do I clean them?

My understanding is that if you want to reuse them, they need to be immediately put into APC after applying the CQuartz. If you do not, the coating hardens the suede and they must be discarded.

By the time it comes time to re-coat there will be a better applicator. Or just buy some new ones..they are cheap.

I put them in APC as soon as I saw this... 7 hours after... They already started to harden, but I'll hope for the best lol.

I'm just trying to save where I can. I seem to only to able to find the 10 pack, which comes out to around $30 before S&H. That's basically 4 days worth of meals (on a broke college student budget).

After 7 hours, done deal time for new ones. They only come in packs of 10 - fyi once the UK bottle is open, shelf life is 6 months per Corey. Don't over tighten the cap or it will crack. Some members are able to extend shelf life by wrapping in Glad Press'n Seal

It shouldn't cost that much for a pick of the small applicator suede towels. And you don't need to use the larger suede towels for leveling and buffing off the coating. Just use a normal MF. You need to toss the ones you have that are already hardened. It's not worth the risk in scratching the paint after investing hours and hours polishing, prepping, and coating.

i agree its not worth saving the ones you've already used.

I know your trying to factor re-using applicators into your cost analysis budget. But If you scratch or marr the paint your equation goes out the window, that is unless you consider your manual labor priceless. You also have to consider the cost you will need if you dont already own the paint correction tools and products.

No.

Use once and throw away if using them to apply coating. If allowed to dry you might as well be applying your next product with sandpaper.

Just buy a bunch of them. Whenever my supply drops to ten I order more.

I throw them out even before using them. Not a fan of this method of coating application.

I use them for navi screen :p
Low nap microfiber is easier for me to apply coating.
